The room was kinda small, but it was still nice. I also assumed this based on price so not really an issue

Perfect! Perfect location… Beautiful hotel in a lovely place. The owner is a lovely fella and is really helpful! Would go back tomorrow.. It’s lovely!!

Mac and Paulette were great hosts and we had a great stay at Flambards. Our room, number 2, was spacious with two single beds and very nice bedding, towels and toiletries. The beds were really comfortable. We both had a bedside lamp and table and easy access to power points for charging phones. There was a kettle, mugs and coffee and tea. Also an offer of fresh milk if we preferred it which was a nice offer. The view of the Welsh hills was lovely. The breakfasts were excellent. They ask you to complete the breakfast form the previous evening. It is quite comprehensive down to which sauce, red or brown. you might like and you are offered a choice of slots to choose from from 7.30am-9am. Serving was very prompt and efficient. The cooked breakfast was perfectly cooked and I really appreciated the tasty mushrooms that were perfectly cooked (still with some firmness) in butter - delicious. The property has a very communal space near the dining room - lots of comfortable lounge seating, books, board games and a bar. We didn't have time to use it but it would have been really good for a longer stay or if the weather was too bad to go far. We mostly saw Mac to chat to and he was very friendly and helpful. We weren't sure about visiting nearby Cenarth Falls in light rain in case it was slippery but he told us there was a long boardwalk and it was good in all weather so we did go and had a great visit.

The hotel, parking and external seating areas are all exceptionally well maintained by Mac and his wife. The internal areas including the reception, lounge, dining areas, bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms are very well appointed and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The cooked breakfasts, cereal, toast and coffee are as good as the very best we have experienced in the sector.
