Hollhouse - Bed & Breakfast

We were greeted perfectly, right from the train station, where Andrea picked us up (and also dropped us off on the last day). We were put in the Tannensuite (Fir tree Suite), which was a completely wood-lined suite with 2 stories, charming alpine decor and a huge terrace all for the two of us. Home-baked muffins greeted us in the bedroom. The plumbing & heating is modern, so nothing to worry there. It gets cold at nights, even in the summer. The view behind their cottage of the mountains was so relaxing and the forest or mountains could be reached within a short walk. There are so many trails and hiking paths to explore. We covered a few but not all. The hosts, Andrea & Robert, were super friendly and treated us as their family. They drove us one evening to an amazing restaurant deep within the Black Forest and we all had dinner together. Andrea also dropped us at the spa in Titisee where we spent one day. The breakfast was homemade and perfect! Everything was planned so beautifully and served on charming plates. The butter and the ham was from the Black Forest, the cheeses were from France & Italy. Andrea made us fresh eggs and even got us Weißwurst (German white sausage) when we asked for it. The town is also so idyllic and our hosts had booked us a table each night at a local restaurant. We were really well-taken care of! Highly recommended to visit this place, if you love small-town charm, home baked goods, and mountains.

Nothing to complain!

Andrea and Robert were great hosts. The experience was unique. Really getting into the local atmosphere and hospitality. Breakfast were great and personalized to our feedbacks. The location was beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious.

In very hot days no air conditioning was available. It's seems it's an issue for the whole area and not specifically to this place. However I would not give up this wonderful experience.

Room and breakfast were PERFECT

For us the hosts were a bit overwhelming regarding privacy.

Absolutely gorgeous ! We were contacted by our host Andrea and Robert ahead of our arrival and from that very moment we felt welcomed. Andrea was very keen to accommodate any wishes we may have - breakfast being one of them. She made sure that I as a vegan didn’t feel left out from the gorgeous breakfast they serve. From the very moment we stepped into the house we felt enchanted by our hosts and the warm and cosy atmosphere. The house has been furnished with the love for detail and comfort. A lot has been said about the breakfast and our expectations were already high but we certainly didn’t expect it to be the way it was - Andrea and Robert made it the highlight of our day - almost a ritual with many courses and surprises. As I was celebrating my birthday Andrea went out of her way to create a celebratory atmosphere with a mini birthday cake and a candle, a handwritten birthday card and a bottle of fine French sparkling wine. Our room was super spacious, the bed comfortably wide for almost 3 and the bathroom OMG - huge :). Both Andrea and Robert live their motto - “Come as guests, leave as friends”. The area is breathtaking with a lot to do and explore - highly recommended! We will most definitely be back soon!

We loved everything about this B&B which gave us a great get away for a short vacation. We absolutely enjoyed the lovely hosts, Andrea & Robert, and even more so the delicious breakfast. The location is in the perfect spot for many hiking possibilities, exploring the nearby lakes or Freiburg (~30 min drives). We will for sure be back.

We had a wonderful experience at Hollhouse, the hosts were so very kind, friendly and caring and the place is so nice and comfortable. A real pleasure! The bed is so comforable, there is a sauna and amazing view from every corner. The breakfast is delicious.
