Good value hotel close to Gent

Nice if small rooms with great beds. Very clean. Lots of free parking. Great breakfast. Good hotel for visiting Gent as the city bus connection to central Gent is really good and fast even on weekends. I would go to the hotel again.

A good place for a short stay. Plan breakfast offsite if you have an early start on the week-end.

Very good location, easy to get to with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Easy to park. Lots of TV channels! Bed is comfortable.

Breakfast is served too late on the week-end for people having to leave the hotel at 7 am. Lots of noise from the road outside. Some noise from people coming up the stairs to their rooms and noise from doors closing.

Easy check in and check out procedure with room and building code. No need to deal with any person.

Strong smell at the entrance coming from waste duct at the front of the hotel. Constant sound from road in the night.

Free parking and restaurants near by It is a convenient location to visit the industrial zone. Breakfast was good.

The hotel operates without staff. Everything is automatic. My problem was that I was relying on the hotel internet but there was an issue the day I have arrived and it was fixed only the day after. Also the TV was really small for current standards

Very happy, free parking & good location as just a short drive from Ghent park and ride.

Very clean, comfortable bed and lovely hot shower. Drinking water in room too.

No tea making facilities in the room but I messaged the owner and we were able to make tea and coffee in the breakfast room. Thanks for your speedy response. Small TV partly hidden by large cupboard.

One Night Stay

Nice room and bed. Chat with us text box worked well.

No one there when we arrived. Got into the hotel but didn't have codes for our rooms. Breakfast very poor value at €12 each. No bread for the toaster. No way to boil an egg and coffee machine didn't work properly.

don't think i will return

well located for a short visit to Lochristi/Oostakker. Low price. But that also means low level. The room was clean.

no staff. entrance codes via mail and app. Which of course didn't work so finally had to call anyway to get a new code. If you forget your smartphone you're doomed. the strong smell of sigarettes. Clearly if there is no staff then who will check if customers smoke or not. Also the very short time the lights are on on the landing. Finally the hard mattress... am I being too negative ?

Dissappointing

the rooms were clean with fresh bedding and towels. nice big bath and comfortable.

when you enter the property, there is a ditch outside the front and the smell you get from that when you enter and leave the building is enough to make you nauseous. There is a serious issue with the drainage system at the front of the building where water and garbage has rotted over months and months 🤢 We were asked to check in online which we did, but apart from one cleaning lady, we didn’t see a single person in the hotel and no one at reception at all. The booklet provided said to call a number of we wanted anything but had no phone in the room 🤷🏼‍♀️ There were no coffee or tea making facilities in the room so we popped to Lidl and bought our own coffee etc and borrowed the kettle we managed to find in the kitchen. We also came down for breakfast at 8.30am on the first day (breakfast was supposed to be 8-10) and waited around for an hour with not a soul in sight so had to go into Ghent to eat. However, on our departure morning, all of a sudden as we were leaving, someone was downstairs making bloody breakfast for the guests 🤦‍♀️

Not a pleasant stay

The rooms and the showers are way too small. The rooms are not properly glazed so you could hear the sound of cars/vehicles and the room vibrates every Tom a big vehicle passes by. Website says b/f served from 7 am , we had to call someone to organise breakfast as there was no one at the hotel. They sent someone to organise food at 7:45am

Basically, it is a comforable room ! We received code to access the room but noone at reception

Very noisy since it is on the main road No hot water at all, we all have to take shower with cold water for our 4 rooms !!!

Disappointed with the general cleanliness and absence of privacy in the toilet.

Comfortable bed and excellent free parking. Easy entry to the hotel and then our room with the Goku app.

A strong smell of chlorine upon entering the room. No door separating bedroom/bathroom/toilet area. Spiders in every corner of the room. Room was facing the road and was very noisy throughout the night, poor sound insulation.

Disappointing

Not a good value for money - expensive for what it is. The staff was quite cold and the breakfast buffet for 12,- on top of the room fee was scarce - not a lot of fresh choices. Comfortable beds though and very friendly that they let us stay for an additional hour in the room even though we didn’t ask for a late checkout ahead of time.
