Uniquely wonderful property for an unforgettable stay.

Lucien was a fantastic host - welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property was excellent all round - beautifully furnished and with such unique style. So many lovely little touches in terms of the decor and the little extras you just don't expect when travelling about - the air sauna, bumper pool table, sjoelen table, and so on. And then all the extras you hope for but don't always get, too - good coffee-making facilities, a kitchen stocked with all the essentials, multiple toilets and showering options. Area around the property perfectly safe and quiet. Location-wise it's a little off the beaten path, but of course that's a trade off you are more than happy to accept for the excellent price and the incredible features.

The only real issue was a few minor comfort issues - uncomfortably steep stairs and the mattresses need a refresh for a better night's sleep but that is it really.

Awesome place and good hospitality

The unit was renovated from an old structure and decorated in a very fashionable and chic style... The inner atmoshere was incredibly nice. 2 bedrooms upstairs, 1 downstair... providing accomodation to a family with 3-4 children... There were even a (kind of) billiard room and a sauna! Exceptionally clean... and we also loved the breakfasts!? The location was also very good; conveniently away from the city chaos, within green; but also easily accessible to downtown by just 3-4 stops via bus having a bus stop nearby... The hospitality of the landlords (especially Cindy`s kindness & support) was greatly appreciated!

WiFi was a bit stressed due to reasons beyond control.

Going back in time! It was amazing feeling this nostalgic again! Its location is amazing as well! It takes only a few minutes to get in the city centre, its very peaceful and the host are very very kind and welcoming

FEEL AT HOME

The hosts are very friendly and make sure that guests feel at home. We are especially grateful to Cindy for helping us solve the problem when our car had a blown tire. It is very touching how fondly Cindy preserves the memory of her ancestors.

Original 19th century-tiled floors, cozy spaces and fabulous hosts.

We booked both rooms so we had the extraordinary luxury of getting the entire house "for ourselves" - it made good for the few moments of rain, when we could cozy up in the kitchen or lounge and play billiards.

We wanted to try out the sauna after coming home from dinner in town one night, but could not get it to work. Lucien had said we could call him if we had trouble, but we felt it was too late at night. Better to leave instructions on site?

Beautiful property with exceptional breakfast and super friendly hosts who care

Truly outstanding breakfast, with a real attention to detail that reflects the local culture. Warm and friendly hosts who cared about making the experience a good one (like stocking the fridge with local craft beer!) and went above and beyond to help us figure out logistics for getting around Ghent and the region. Beautiful, spacious property with lots of lovely touches and amenities.

The property is located on a bus line, and not as central for a short trip such as ours. However, it is out of the fray and the property feels like being in the country. So, if you're okay with potentially waiting a bit for the bus, and aren't as pressed for time as we were, it's a fine choice (we had the misfortune of arriving during a bus strike, which is no one's fault).

Everything was perfect during our stay, the house is very cozy and confortable. The breakfast was magnificent, the sauna and the bath were also amazing. The hosts were really welcoming, even coming to pick us up and drop us off at the bus station.

Another great stay!

We were pleased to stay at Cass Lucinda again this year. Cindy & Lucien were as welcoming as always! Even St Nicholas visited again! We love the house and the breakfasts were amazing again. We visited Ghent Christmas market this year and really enjoyed it. Thank you for a lovely stay and hope to see you again in the future!
