Lovely quiet and comfortable retreat

Received a very warm welcome from the owner. Great place for stopping over when travelling or to visit the region. Clean and comfortable, nicely decorated room. Very quiet which is what we wanted, so had a good night’s sleep. One (good) restaurant 10 minutes walk away otherwise longer into the city centre.

Nothing really other than would have liked a coffee/tea making facility.

Easily able to park next to the property, very friendly host. Comfortable bed and pleasant room

Fan wasn’t quite able to keep the room cool at night so needed windows open, a little far from the centre of town

When we got there, there is high electric gates with a bell on the outside, after a couple of pushes a Lady answered, She was driving a car and said she would be 30 minutes before she came back, she was not a very good signal on her phone and we lost contact, she then phoned my mobile phone and said she can open the gate and let us in, and our room key was in an outside post box, we found our key and walked to the big heavy front door, the Lady said we have to pull the door when turning the key as the door had warped, we were frightened to open the door encase we snapped the key, locking the door was the same procedure, our room door was not a good fit in the door frame, during the night it was knocking as the door moved back and forth with the wind, there is no handrail up the winding staircase, while sleeping during the night there was no one else in the big house, if there was a problem we would have been on our own, We declined breakfast as it was 20€ each, a bit expensive !! When we left the Lady left a note for us saying can we leave our room key in our room and leave the front door unlocked when we leave !! We were not very impressed with La Ragotiere and will not be staying again.

A pleasant stay at the hotel in a nice location.

A interesting building in a nice quite location a couple of eating places within walking distance. A good continental style breakfast to start the day. Martin made us most welcome.

The Stairs, they kept turning and the steps were very narrow at one end, there was no hand rail.

Beautiful place for a weekend in Belgium.

Wonderful place to stay, sad that we were there just for one night as the place is stunning and I can imagine it would be perfect place for a romantic weekend. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was extremely welcoming.

Bathroom towels were very small and didn't dry your skin very well.

Good selection of food for breakfast with fresh rolls and croissants! Beautifully served without use of plastic pots and containers. Good location for us as we were travelling on the next day so well situated for the motorway. Our host was very welcoming and extremely helpful in recommending a restaurant and booking ahead for us!

Lieux très agréable et convivial. L'hôtesse charmante

Dominica est charmante et très agréable. Petit déjeuner parfait et très copieux. Les chambres. La décoration très stylée. Enfin bref parfait. La sécurité du site. Les abords très bien aménagé. Dommage qu'il ait plu.

Seul bémol, l'impossibilité de garer le véhicule a l'intérieur. Il est vrai que le nôtre est très grand.

Magnifique

Magnifique lieu et demeure. L'hôte de la maison est très sympathique. La literie est tres bonne et la chambre est très joliment décorée et spacieuse. Nous sommes venus à un concert au stade Pierre Mauroy de Lille et La Ragotiere est à 20min du parking des 4 Cantons, ensuite il y a 10 min à pied. C'était parfait.

Le petit-déjeuner est en option à 20€. Nous avons trouvé ça vraiment trop cher et avons préféré le prendre ailleurs.
