The most hospitable stay in beautiful Naxos

Georgia Mare was the most comfortable, warm and hospitable place we’ve stayed at while on our travels. The owner met with us personally on check-in and gave us information about the best restaurants and sights in beautiful Naxos. The view from our room was breathtaking, everything was comfortable, clean and well-maintained and the daily breakfast was delicious. When (not if) we return to Naxos, there’ll be nowhere else to stay! Thankyou Spiros for a wonderful stay!

The hosts were amazing- we felt like family. They gave us a map with all the recommended restaurants which was so helpful. The beach was nearby with places to get a drink or eat. I appreciated the free breakfast which was truly amazing. There were so many items to choose from and they were delicious. I would stay there again .

Perfect stay in Naxos you won’t feel any more welcomed and taken care of in any other property anywhere.

From the very first time we entered the front doors until the time we checked out we felt so welcome just like staying at a friends house. My wife and I have traveled to many many different places all around the world and have never felt so welcome anywhere. Spiros and the team made sure we had everything we needed, from restaurant and attraction recommendations and beach towels to the full breakfast buffet which was awesome, so many choices! The property is located an easy 10-15 minute walk from the port and is absolutely spotless and our room was cleaned and maintained each day.

Wonderful staff , super clean and great location. Spiros could not be more helpful! He helped us hire a car and also find a fabulous dermatologist for a particular skin condition. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was incredible!

Myself and a friend had the two room apartment downstairs near reception. Our door was next to the reception desk . This meant we heard everything. The two room apartment was really just two rooms with a small bathroom in between. The front room with double bed was lovely with a small balcony, wardrobe and overlooking the very pretty street. Double glazed doors to the balcony meant noise was minimal from the street. However the very small back room with two single beds was really only suitable for children in my opinion . Not adults . Very minimal storage and space. The bathroom whilst spotlessly clean has no shower curtain or glass on the tiny shower , which meant no matter how careful you were , you ended up with big water puddles on the floor. Multiple bath mats were provided but it sometimes was not enough. Very strongly recommend that this issue is dealt with asap as it made taking a shower quite a challenge. Apart from this I would highly recommend George Amare and would choose to stay in a different room.

Fabulous stay at Naxos !!!

We adored Georgia Mare. Super cute hotel within 20 steps to the beach. The owners Spiros and his wife are exceptional hosts that took super good care of us and our friends. You quickly feel like you are staying with family. Clean, spacious rooms with everything you need. Home cooked breakfast every morning, beach towels, etc. the beach is fabulous, with see through clean water. There are several really yummy restaurants and beach clubs. There is a spa massage offered in one of the beach clubs. A true paradise!

A perfect location and a warm, welcoming host made our short stay in Naxos unforgettable.

The location was ideal. Just a short walk from the port, town, and beach. The property is older but well maintained, clean, and comfortable. Our host, Spiros, was exceptionally welcoming and friendly, providing us with great recommendations on sights to see and places to eat. Although we only spent one night in Naxos, Spiros made it a truly wonderful experience.

Exceptional hospitality and location.

The location is perfect…very close to the beach and a short stroll to the port centre, restaurants, bars, shops etc. The daily breakfast was extensive with a selection of delicious, freshly cooked items each morning. The owners Spiros & Fouli treated us like family. Nothing was too much trouble for them or their team. We stayed 11 nights and absolutely loved it to the point of sharing a tear on departure. We will never forget our stay at Georgia Mare or the incredible hospitality and kindness we were afforded. We can only dream of returning one day.

Spiros and his family welcome you into their home. A joyful place to stay

Well if there is ever a place to stay in Naxos this is it. Spiros, his wife and the team were incedible. From the first 5 minutes we were there they set a high standard. Lots of goodies on arrival. It felt like we were greeted by family and made to feel so welcome. Great tips provided about where to go and eat and what to do. Spacious and very clean room. Breakfast was delightful and that Naxion Greek Yogurt is the best ever - just like cream. Lots of home made breakfast items - a real feast. Close to the beach, the port and bus services to travel around the Island.

Great location, great hospitality but a bit pricey compared to other places we stayed

Spiros the owner was a wonderful host and he bent over backwards for us. Perfect location near the beach and easy walk to the port and restaurants.

We rented a 2 bed suite. The double room was lovely but the twin was tiny and had no storage or even somewhere to put our cases. The bathroom had no shower door on the shower and no window for ventilation so everything was soaking wet. Having said that the cleaner did come every day to mop up and replaced the wet towels so it wasn’t so bad.

This is the PERFECT stay in Naxos. Spiros is the BEST host we have ever had!

Spiros made our stay there perfect! From all of our travels, we have never met an owner more hospitable than Spiros. He took our luggage to our room, he recommended places for us to eat, and he recommended beaches to visit. He was very attentive, and all of the guests there all feel very well taken care of. I would most definitely come back again and stay at his hotel. The breakfast each morning was amazing, with homemade baked pastries and Greek traditional foods. There was so much food!

We wished that there was a streaming service on the tv, so we could watch shows at night. The channels were in Greek, and we do not understand Greek.

5 stars!!! We really enjoyed our stay at Georgia Mare. The hotel was beautiful, very very clean, rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, the best we’ve had in Greece. Huge variety of tasty food with a lot of homemade pastry’s, cakes yogurts. Our host Spiros was fantastic! When we arrived he welcomed us with a big smile and helped us settle in and feel at home. He provided us with many useful information about the island. Restaurants, cafes, bars and a lot of interesting history of the Island. Spiros puts great passion and care in what he does and we felt very welcomed. He is the heart and soul of this beautiful hotel. If you come to Naxos we strongly recommend this hotel.

Convenient location, minutes to the beach. The room had a balcony with partial view of the ocean. Excellent breakfast was included with local foods and numerous choices. Beds very comfortable.
