Nothing but great things to say about the hotel, its location, and most importantly the staff.

The property was newly renovated and looks just like the photos. It's in a great location that's walking distance to the beach and in town close to great restaurants. The staff was very nice and helpful for all the things we needed whether it was extra blankets for our moms or getting a taxi to/from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again if we come back to Naxos.

Great location just a short walk to port, beach & restaurants,

The location was fantastic just a short walk to the port, the beach, and plenty of great restaurants. It made getting around super easy, and we loved having everything so close by. Perfect spot for a relaxing and convenient stay.

The bathroom was nice overall, but I think the door could be improved. A sliding door would be more practical, as the current layout requires you to walk into the shower area in order to access the sink.

Hotel pictures do not match what you get.

The location of this hotel was excellent. It was located 2 mins from a beach and also 2 mins from the old town. The room was very comfortable, very clean and seemed very new.

I did not get the room I booked and this was a showstopper for me. When I travel to holiday destinations, especially hot countries, my main priority is the outside space. I booked a Deluxe room in this hotel, because their website and also Booking.com, show a very nice outside space for this room. We were given a room with a horrible outside balcony that was dark and didnt encourage us to sit out once in our 5 night stay. After being shown to the room, I told them it was not the room with balcony in the pictures, and asked for another room. I was told they were full and that was the only room available. If I could have got a refund, I would certainly have changed to somewhere with a decent balcony.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms were spotless and so comfortable. All the little extras like slippers, coffee machine, water, fridge and gorgeous shower gel were lovely.

Modern hotel with wonderful Italian restaurant

The room is big with an expresso coffee maker and coffee provided. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Our ferry was cancelled and they gave us a late check out. We had a private jacuzzi outside our room. The restaurant is very good and they accommodated us even when we showed up late and was about to close.

Naxos bite

Very central, very clean, few steps from agios georgios beach and just 4 km from agios prokopios beach that is one of the best in whole greece. Staff was very friendly!

Great Location

We loved the balcony and the bed was very comfy

We did not like the bathroom at all, it was quite tight, you could not open the door if someone was using the face basin, it is just badly designed. The shower area is a good size but the water does not run off completely. In fact when we checked in the bath room floor in and out the shower area was wet, we really disliked it. The room itself has very little shelf space, we had to put stuff on the floor due to lack of shelving space, I have never had to do that in all my years of travelling. The room also did not have a phone or a bin; the former, normally I would not mind until we need more towels etc but I also did not like not having a bin in the room.

Disappointed and very glad when it was time to leave

Location is great, lobby is spacious, automatic front doors, there is an elevator.

Unfortunately I did not enjoy my stay. I understand they were just opening and the welcome was very warm and friendly, however there were still loud construction noises during my stay and the smell of toxic glues in the room. What made it even worse was my morning orange juice had small white worms in it. I was so disgusted, and when I pointed it out to the waiter, he couldn’t care less and then went on to say there would be no charge for my complimentary breakfast. He just had the strangest vibes. Out of 4 people ( the two owners, the waiter and a receptionist) only the receptionist apologized the next day and offered a free dinner at the same restaurant, which I obviously couldn’t take because of how grossed out I was, I had to eat my breakfast for the rest of my stay elsewhere. The housekeepers twice during my short stay flew the door wide open without even knocking or spoke that they were entering. So much to work on. So much experience and customer care to acquire at this hotel. The only advice I can offer the owners, is to be empathetic to guests when something disappointing happens and not just to brush it off and say it’s ok and have a nice day.

Luxurious stay in the heart of Naxos

Had to extend for an extra two nights as probably slept better in this hotel than had anywhere in about five years. The guys running this place are fantastic - old style excellent customer service - should be used as a traineeship for people entering the hotel industry. Nespresso machines in room, brand new beds, lovely balcony, bathroom, fluffy towels. It was better than a five star and to top it off in a super location for beaches, port and buses.

Stylish brand new hotel-amazing location close to everything!

The location is the best possible as it is located just outside the old town and 3’ from the beach of Agios Georgios. Short walk only to public bus stop to the further away beaches. The hotel is recently renovated and brand new and stylish. The bed is awesome, I slept so well!!! People at the reception super nice and helpful giving lots of info about the island/activities/car rental options. Extra treat their Italian restaurant underneath! It is superb!!!

The hotel was in an excellent location, a short walk to Naxos town it really was the most ideal location. It was also located away from the hustle and bustle so we had no issue with noise, it was the best of both worlds. The staff were also super helpful, they allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel before check-in as we arrived early, and advised us on places to go etc while also arranging a taxi for us when we needed. The room was perfect, it was quite spacious for a twin room and also had a lovely balcony. The shower was also amazing. Could not recommend this place enough for the price!

No complaints as such, only issue was the wifi. It was very very weak although we tried all wifi options (as they have several). I would keep this in mind as we rely on wifi for planning our days in Naxos. Other than this everything was perfect!

A quiet, comfortable stay & far enough away from the crowds.

It was a comfortable, room in a a charming 70's hotel, near to most everything. The staff were more than helpful, carrying a heavy suitcase upstairs with good humour and taking the time to make you feel welcome. A quiet, laid-back part of Chora in early May.

It was odd but the washbasin was in the bedroom/ living area not the bathroom so you were running between the wet area and the main room. Doesn't make for an easy shave.

Everyone at the Hotel Sphinx was friendly and helpful! We checked in so quickly and were able to head right back out into Naxos town. The room was very comfortable with a great balcony. We really enjoyed our stay!
