Meliá White House Apartments

Good central location. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The lobby and dining facilities were nice.

The room was clean but a bit small and the carpeting was somewhat dingy.

Very friendly and professional staff, lovely luxurious lobby, excellent location close to several tube stations and bus stops, 2 local grocery shops (Tesco Express d Sainsbury's local) within a very short walking distance. We ended up with 2 single beds for our children which was much better than the advertised sofa bed, plus à large double bed for ourselves. The beds were comfortable. The apartment was very quiet.

Everything was fine, but the kitchen was really really tiny, and not well equipped, so don't plan on preparing anything more than breakfast and sandwiches. The carpets are stained, even the walls in some places, but I am allergic to dust mites and the staff told me they had taken extra care to vacuum the flat properly, and indeed I had no issues, so even if it didn't look very lean, it was.

It was a very hot stay & the ventilation wasn’t AC The ‘sofa bed’ was a camp bed about 2’6’’ - a hard sleep for a 6 foot 70!year old No coffee machine as stated but a kettle - good job I bought coffee options

Location is great, bar is great, quietness of the hotel at night is great

The room provided was nothing at all like the photo's on Booking.com - in fact the difference between the photos and description and what was provided was borderline fraud - apparently no other rooms were available. They are doing renovations so so room was under constant drill attack from 08:00 to 17:00 even on Saturday morning. It was extremely poor of the hotel not to have pre warned us of this as it made the room uninhabitable during those hours. Breakfast was great BUT they have 4 coffee machines but only one was working and, with a full hotel, I will allow the reader to imagine the queue.
