About this cottage rental
The fifth "The Refuge" is located in the middle of green field in the Valley of San Vicente, 5 minutes walk from the town center. Away from the hustle of the cities this is "The Refuge" perfect for those who want to relax and be close to nature.
Property: The house is set in a land of about 2910 m2 bordered by a river and footpath. This plot has direct access to the regional road and is situated at the base of a small hill in the middle of the great valley of São Vicente. On the property there is a small viewpoint overlooking the sea and mountains and even a swing for children.
The house, rustic route, is perfectly integrated into the green surroundings. Is distributed over 2 floors and has 2 bedrooms, living room with fireplace, kitchen, dining room, bathroom with shower, toilet and laundry area.
Children and infants:
protection bars for bed, 2 cots, high chair meals, playground, first car seat up to 36 kg + car seat for children.
Sleeping: Bedroom 1 - double bed, bedroom 2 - double bed. Living Room - 2 sofa bed extra bed + double bed (on request). Up to 10 people. 2 cots + 1 baby park.
Kitchen: Refrigerator, gas stove, wood stove, wood stove, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, microwave, water heater.
WC: one bathroom upstairs with shower + one restroom downstairs.
Facilities: Free Wi-Fi, cable TV and parking.
Leisure: Barbecue, inflatable pool of 2.5 m diam. and a swing for children, hammocks, a stream by the house, gardens all around, and a viewpoint with chestnuts, quite nice.
Attractiveness: Near the volcanic center of Madeira and the caves of São Vicente, the Lime Route of the most visited Surf beach north coast, 15 minutes drive from the natural pools of Porto Moniz.

Just had an amazing holiday at the Refuge- setting is just breathtaking- Mountain Views everywhere. And I must say our host Ema was brilliant, very responsive to questions, took a call from us at 11pm to guide us as we were not sure we were on the right way and sorted a washing machine issue within 24 hours! Thank you very much Ema!

Ein wunderschöner Garten mit vielen Terrassen, lädt zu unendlich vielen Berg-, Meer- und Gartenblicke ein. Sehr Erholsam.

Dieses Haus ist ein idealer Ort, um abseits des Trubels Ruhe und Entspannung in landschaftlich schöner Umgebung zu finden. Es eignet sich auch prima als Startpunkt für Wanderungen, die Startpunkte der meisten in diversen Führern beschriebenen Wanderungen (Levadas u.a.) sind alle in kurzer Zeit mit dem Auto erreichbar (15 bis maximal 60 Autominuten). Da wir im November gebucht hatten, waren wir sehr froh um den Holzofen, mit dem wir das große Wohnzimmer gemütlich heizen konnten. Um diese Jahreszeit wäre es ansonsten manchmal recht kühl bei gleichzeitig hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit, eine weitere Heizung existiert nicht. Im Sommer ist das Haus vermutlich sehr angenehm, wenn es draußen recht heiß ist. Die Hausherrin hat uns mit selbstgebackenem Kuchen empfangen (lecker) und auf Rückfragen schnell reagiert. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen.
