CASA ARCO OLD - 5 minutes from the Serra and the Sea (center of Calheta)

Everything was perfect!Communication with Silvia was very easy and smooth — she was always fast and accurate in replying via whatspp.We were a group of couples in our 50s, and the villa was just ideal for us. The spacious layout allowed everyone to enjoy time together while still having plenty of privacy. Each couple having their own bedroom with a private bathroom made the stay especially comfortable and pleasant.The villa is large and extremely comfortable, with generous common areas where we could all be together even while doing different things — cooking in the kitchen, eating at the dining table, relaxing on the sofas, working at the desk, or having an aperitivo in the garden. The open-space layout made everything feel very connected and cozy.The kitchen is big, spotless, and very well-equipped. Wi-Fi works well in the common areas (not so much in the bedrooms).All the bedrooms have comfortable beds, a desk, a large wardrobe, and a private bathroom with a shower. Everything was clean and tidy.Having a washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher was a huge plus! There’s also a lovely pool (we didn’t use it much as we came mainly for hiking).A few minor drawbacks: we noticed some insects (quite normal for the area) and a few pieces of furniture could use an update — Silvia told us this is already planned for this winter.The location is perfect, and there’s plenty of parking space (you do need a car to get around).We would absolutely recommend!

A wonderful week in Madeira and staying at Casa Arco Calheta was a perfect choice. We were two families sharing the house. Very spacious almost felt like a small hotel. We had all the comforts one would need for a self catering holiday. Silvia was very helpful. The only small issue we had was that the advert said we could access the property at 16h00, but we only got keys/access after 19h00.

We were a group of 10 friends looking for an affordable place to stay together, and this was the perfect choice. The house was exactly as described in the adv. Clean and big but not so well-equipped (we only had salt in the kitchen and not enough toilet paper) and the wifi didn't work well. While the location isn't the best, having cars made it easy to explore the island, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Overall, a great stay!
