Hotwater boiler cold be a bit bigger. Its just enough for one person. Wait 30 minutes and it would be enough for two.

If you are a hiker then this place is basically a 5 star lux refuge or hiking lodge. It is very large, has 2 aircon units and a heated towel rail so we were able to dry everything for the next day's hike when we got soaked, albeit with a little ingenuity. The outside space was just fine, the view fabulous and it was quiet. The towels were fluffy and thick and the bed was comfortable.

The location is a big issue - once brilliant, it is now pretty much pointless because the road west is permanently closed (meaning a 50 minute trip down to the coast along and up to get the the 25 fountains area), the 3 big peaks to the east are are all pretty much inaccessible with all the main walking paths closed semi-permanently and even the PR17 is theoretically closed towards the end (but we and many others ignored the dire warning and clambered through the hole in the fence). Much better to stay in much nicer accommodation, close to amenities for only slightly more money on the south or north coast. Also note that whilst this place is a grade A hiker's refuge is struggles to meet a 2 star hotel level as a self catering unit. The utensils, pots and pans, glasses and cutlery in particular were all inadequate. We felt the manager was distant and uninterested, the enforced check-in window of just 60 mins between 6 and 7 was also harsh. The was no information in the accommodation, a run-down on what was closed and open would have been invaluable.

Host was thorough with directions and recommendations. Property was outstanding. Apartment felt safe.

Hot water is short-lived

The welcome and introduction from Ana Maria was fabulous and with some good tips on what to do and where to eat. Her communication was excellent. The 'private' waterfall was worth a visit.

The group of houses are in the middle of a forest so you would expect humidity but we did find the house a little damp, quite dark and sparsely furnished. But you will find everything you need.
