Casa do Manuel

The property was clean, beautiful, quiet. The hospitality was amazing. We really felt welcomed. Manuel is also a very nice person and the rest of the staff as well.

Spacious, modern and well situated in a peaceful area and well equipped with opportunity to do laundry (shared use, but perfectly fine)

Case do Manuel had everything we needed really. Balcony was really nice with lovely dramatic view. Bed was super comfortable with a soft or firmer pillow to choose from. Good powerful shower and clean bathroom. It was a nice touch that there was a laundry room and that they provided you with a detergent pod to do a cycle. Ample space to hang and store clothes (although more hangers may be useful). Good location for driving to hikes and walkable to a few restaurants/cafes. Kitchen small and basic but had what we needed to make a simple dinner.

We would have appreciated some instant coffee sachets perhaps. Dishes were a bit dirty and needed cleaning before use.

The location was great. it was only a 15–30 minute drive to the hikes we wanted to do. It was also really nice that there was a washing machine available for use.

We stayed on the bottom floor, in the first room. The entrances faced the front, so everyone walking by passed right in front of us. The entire front wall was a window, and while they gave us a screen to block the bed from view, it didn’t cover everything, so we had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. The laundry room was at the far end, which meant walking past everyone else’s rooms to get there. The room itself felt a bit like a basement — the only light came from the front, and the bathroom had just a small high window that couldn’t clear the steam properly, so the towels never dried. The shower also didn’t drain well, so we had to keep the water pressure low to prevent it from overflowing.
