Casa do Manuel

We had a lovely stay. The apartment was very clean and felt new, and the shower was great. Although the bathroom had no window, the dehumidifier worked well. We enjoyed cooking our own dinners and relaxing on the private terrace. Restaurants and attractions in Santana were within walking distance, and the private parking was very convenient. The host was friendly, responsive, and greeted us on arrival with the key.

The fridge is a bit small.

Very clean, modern, cozy and well equipped apartment in the middle of peaceful green landscape. The location was perfect for levada walks (e.g. PR9 and PR18) and there are plenty of nice restaurants withun walking distance.

Modern, clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable and quiet apartment with lovely gardens to relax in. Great location and host.

Nothing.

The location was great. it was only a 15–30 minute drive to the hikes we wanted to do. It was also really nice that there was a washing machine available for use.

We stayed on the bottom floor, in the first room. The entrances faced the front, so everyone walking by passed right in front of us. The entire front wall was a window, and while they gave us a screen to block the bed from view, it didn’t cover everything, so we had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. The laundry room was at the far end, which meant walking past everyone else’s rooms to get there. The room itself felt a bit like a basement — the only light came from the front, and the bathroom had just a small high window that couldn’t clear the steam properly, so the towels never dried. The shower also didn’t drain well, so we had to keep the water pressure low to prevent it from overflowing.
