It was absolutely spotless. Cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. The staff are amazing. They made me feel so welcome and it’s a really safe place for a solo traveller.

Friendly small hotel on beach promenade with sea views

Excellent one week stay in Autumn. Owners are friendly and helpful. Superb location on the beach promenade, overlooking the harbour and across to Corfu. Hotel is very clean and modern, room was large with great bed, large desk, good size fridge, good shower room. Large balcony with huge sea view and table/chairs. Breakfast was on the roof terrace, reasonable selection of food although vegans might struggle. Great wifi signal and efficient air-con. The hotel is very well located, short walk from great range of cafes, restaurants and shops. The neighbourhood is great for walking, it feels very safe, everyone is friendly. The hotel is just 5 min walk from intercity busstop (services to/from Tirana and other cities) and local bus to Ksamil/Butrint (€2 each way); also 5 min from regular ferries to Corfu.

Hotel insists on payment in cash, which is the Albanian way but I find it inconvenient for such a large payment. NB there is no lift so not suitable for guests with mobility issues. There is no traffic noise, just the sound of the waves on the beach, although for a few hours there can be music from the nearby bars in case that bothers you.

Beautiful location right on the beach!

We had a double room with Seaview and view was wonderful, looking directly out onto the beach. We were on the first floor so with our view you could also absorb the atmosphere from the street below. You could watch the ferries from Corfu from your bed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with good pressure in the shower. The location is only about 10 min flat walk to the port, close to car rental places and right on the esplanade to wander to restaurants and bars. The staff are very friendly and explain everything about the room. The room included breakfast on the top floor looking out over the harbour/beach.

There was breakfast which was adequate for our needs but not as extensive as other properties in Albania.

Good stop off for one night

Very helpful staff at front desk, nice room, beautiful views from the roof terrace

The room was a little tired compared to the photos, and we contacted the hotel via Booking a few hours before arriving to check how/where to park- they didn't respond so it was a bit confusing working out where to go when we arrived. The man at the front desk was very helpful when we arrived though - if you are driving, just pull up next to the hotel and ask about parking!!

Very clean, very helpful staff (assisting with parking too) , comfy bed, sea view, superb location. Breakfast at the terrace has a view to die for. Great experience, highly recommend.

Great comfortable stay

The hotel is conveniently located just off the beach promenade. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast view from the rooftop terrace was great and the staff very friendly. As a goodbye gift, I received a box of sweets, which was a nice touch.

It wasn't a problem for me but better to be aware: - The sea view in some of the rooms is only partial - The restaurant on the right side of the hotel plays music most of the day.

Great location & staff

Man on the front desk was really welcoming & friendly. Location was perfect, very close to the beach, port and promenade. Bed was comfy and shower was hot & reliable. Nice to have breakfast up on the roof terrace too, tasty, decent choice & great views!

Good basic hotel for short stays

The location is excellent for ferry passengers as it's only a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal. It is close to the restaurants and services, but still fairly quiet during nights so you can have a peaceful sleep.

The wifi connection was a bit unstable - it worked well during the morning and day but not so well during the evening.

A very pleasant introduction to Saranda and Albania

The hotel is not very far from the ferry terminal, so that you can easily walk from and to there if that is how you are travelling. The hotel itself is located on the boardwalk, by the beach. The couple who run the hotel and staff are very helpful and gave us great tips on where to eat, also offered to call the tour company for us to help us sort out some details. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We had booked a room with a view and were not disappointed: we had an entire view of the bay and were able to enjoy our balcony in the evening. The boardwalk is pleasantly lively in the evenings, and safe. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

Warm welcome - home from home 😊

Sea view room was fabulous - spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast with some hot food and lots of cold options and breads/cake. Managers/owners were super friendly and very helpful - really go the extra mile to welcome guests and recommend restaurants hotels etc. - would definitely recommend. English widely spoken here.

Some minor building works at the time of our stay which didn’t disturb too much - otherwise no negatives.

A good place to stay.

A nice family-run hotel. Our room had a great view over the sea. The breakfast was really good, both the food and the rooftop location. A great start to the day.

There are several minor maintenance issues that should be attended to. EG light bulbs, fittings coming off the wall, door handles falling off.

The location: meters from the sea. The views from our bed & balcony were stunning. Also, the hotels is less than a 5 minute walk from where the ferry from Corfu arrive. It’s also a 3-minute walk to the Butrint bus stop.

Very friendly and helpfull staff with great room

Staff was very friendly and helpfull. They assisted us with parking, had nice chat and tips and even got a present. Our room had the best views from bed you could see the sea and palms. Room was spacious and had boulevard balcony.

Pressure of the shower. And that the ants also liked our room. But staff helped us with that as well.

Must book for the location (right on Sarande promenade) and the sea view rooms, probably less than 10mtrs away from the sea.

Breakfast was underwhelming. Just as suggestion for the lovely owners, if English breakfast is not your forte, go local ;)

No card payments with scamming on conversion rate!

Central location, room ok!

The hotel doesn’t accept cards payments, the room rate is then given in euros which if you’re like me you won’t have €189 to pay without pre-warning. You then request the price in ALL which you get scammed on the conversion rate for allot higher than what other places were showing! The rate we were charged was already almost double than the prices shown at reception (we agreed to that by booking with booking.com) but one more reason why we were so angry with the scam of the conversion rate!

The location of this hotel is great and an easy walk to and from the bus station for those without a vehicle. The breakfast had a good range of food and was yum. The view from the breakfast spot was stunning. The owners were very friendly.

Excellent hotel, it was amazing to have a balcony with sea views! The hospitality of the staff and how clean everything was is another reason why we will be definitely back . The breakfast was delicious, trying also local food and is serve up in the terrace again with amazing views! Nearby there are different shops, restaurants and bars. The location was excellent as we need to travel by ferry to Corfu and the terminal is literally less than 3 minutes walking from the hotel.

Everything was perfect, I only regret not having more time to stay there longer!

This was a return visit for us to the Royal Sarande Hotel, to see the wonderful hosts. Right on the water. Easy parking. Great view at breakfast. Right on the Sarande promenade, 10 minute walk from the Corfu Ferry.
