The Villa dates back to the 19th century and is in the countryside south of Florence in an area full of pinewoods and woodlands. It is part of a large estate where horses used to be bred and was later altered into a holiday accommodation. The villa still keeps all the charm of the era when the lords used to go to the country to oversee the work in the fields. Its location makes is easy to reach the city of Lucca from one side and from the other, the hills where there are towns such as Certaldo, Boccaccio’s birthplace, San Gimignano and its towers and Montaione. Even the beaches are not very far, as well as the city of Pisa and the thermal baths of Montecatini. The size of the accommodation is ideal for groups of friends to spend their holidays together going on cultural trips as well as relaxing on the large lawn at the front of the villa, cooling down in the swimming pool (12 x 6, 1.50m deep)(01/05-30/09). Near the pool there are the dressing rooms with a toilet, a barbeque and garden furniture. The villa has central heating, air conditioning in some rooms, baby bed and wi-fi Internet connection. It is possible to require a maid service, chef and cookery courses. On the property there is also a restaurant, a hall for breakfast, sauna (against payment), small lake for fishing, horse-riding stables, a tennis court (turning on the lights against payment) and the car park.
