We spent a full week at Tenuta Albereta, which constitutes a truly comfortable, fully-fledged and quiet summer residence. The extensive premises are located on the green outskirks of Marginone - a lovely little village close to Altopascio. The spacious house is surrounded by woods, vineyards and olive groves. Moreover, it offers a great view of the mountains around Pisa. Hence, we found everything in order to make our stay at Tenuta Albereta an outstanding experience. I

First off, a special thanks to Alessandra, Sabrina,Mirco and everyone else who turned this trip into such a fantastic time. We had a total of 28 people join us during the month of June. And everyone of the 28 agreed it could not have been any better. The Villa-pool and grounds were just as wonderful as could be. A bit of magic and heaven for all of us. We like to think it's just being with the Kiaune family but the Villa and the surroundings added so much more. Your efforts and all the others involved made for a great and treasured time. Marginone is such a beautiful little place and right down the road. It boasts a lovely little pastry shop(expresso, cappuccino etc) an upscale Osteria Fellini a pizzeria with pasta dishes and pizza and a beautiful little Church that my wife fell in love with. We heard Angels sing there. And Montecarlo also right down the road has beautiful shops and restaurants. The town of Altopascio has a rail station and you can easily ride to Lucca and Florence and Pisa. So Alessandra again thank you- thank you-thank you. Wish we were still there.

We spent a fantastic holiday for two weeks at this beautiful and quiet place near Lucca. We stayed there with two families. it is a very nice place from where nearly every destination in Tuscanny can be reached within 2 hours. It is also a nice spot to begin hiking tours in the apuanian alps and the serchio valley. We didn´t miss anything within the two weeks and the guidance and help of Alessandra made everything easy an comfortable. Thanks a lot.

We rented the full house for the ten of us (4 adults and 6 children) in august 2013. We all spent 2 wonderful weeks in this place! The view from the house is just wonderful. All equipments needed to spend good time on holidays are there, especially the kitchen was a great place to cook italian food! The materials in the house are typical and the decoration is really nice. The neighbors were also really kind with us. We have so enjoyed going at the river to swim almost everyday in the fresh water and play in the waterfalls! The area is absolutely great with a lot of wonderful things to see and do and so is this house. A kind of paradise in Toscane! Thanks to Alessandra, Margherita and Judith.

"This is a lovely apartment, light and spacious. Extra bonus was that there was a dishwasher too which I don''t think was mentioned in the description. It is a historic building - three storeys up (no lift but don''t let this put you off) but with space on the ground floor to store bikes (or in our case a pushchair). Several original features remain which added to the lovely atmosphere of the apartment and the area. It is not a swish and modernised place so if you like sparkling stainless steel etc, it may not be for you. Nice views of Piazza della Cittadella from the two front windows. Lots of nice shops (food and otherwise) very handy and a small supermarket about 5 or 6 minutes'' walk away. The railway station is within easy walking distance, as is Piazzale Verdi (where you arrive if you get the bus from Pisa Airport which I would recommend as it''s so easy and only cost 3 Euros each). To the front of the building it is quite lively and sometimes a bit noisy in the evenings, but the bedrooms face the back, which is much quieter so not a problem. Lots of English language reading material stored in the sitting room if you need it. The things which were not quite so great were the beds (not as comfortable as they could have been) and the TV reception which seemed rather sporadic. Free Wi-Fi is available (from Lucca City Tourist Board I think) but also not entirely reliable all the time. The apartment should probably have a fire extinguisher or fire blanket too - easily solved by the owners. The owners and the lady who handled our booking (Alessandra) were all lovely, very helpful and welcoming and there were fresh flowers in three of the rooms when we arrived. I would definitely recommend this place to others, and I feel like it was a lucky find."

"We were five families with little children staying one week in Tenuta Albereta. We just loved the house, the garden and the swimming pool! The place was great also for visiting Florence, Lucca, San Gimignano and of course the Montecarlo, which was a lovely village near the house. Milvia, the housekeeper, was very friendly and helped us every time we needed. The owner was also very nice and friendly and the cooking course was excellent and the wine from the vineyard was very good. We would recommend this place to everyone because it was definitely perfect!"

""This property was rented by my client and his satisfaction was 'exactly what we had hoped for and it was a perfect fit for our family and friends.' The property was set back from the road and there was no noise from the surroundings but yet it was very convenient to the town of Altopascio for shopping essentials and they enjoyed a short walk to Montecarlo which was lovely and full of good restaurants and stores. My clients rented the property for 3 weeks and had ample supplies to host parties with their Italian relatives and guests from the USA. With several cooks in the group, there was never a need for a personal chef, but they always knew that Alessandra would accommodate their requests. The caretaker and his wife were readily available for any questions and needs. Because of an electrical storm the power was suspended until the caretaker quickly solved the issue. My clients used the house as a staging station to explore the area extensively and hence the location was convenient to do so. As a travel consultant (T'Amo Italia) with many clients, I will indeed offer this property for their consideration in the future. Working with the owner was a pleasure. "

"Everything was fine, as expected. The swimming pool and the garden much better than they were in pictures, really wonderful!! and the situation of the house can,t be better, all the places of interest and the motorway so close and all that in the middle of the countryside. We had some problems with water in one W.C. and with one of the refrigerators (the little one) but the owner quickly got someone to repair the first and about the second...,the fridge, we could manage more or less but I think we should have insisted on that because we had to go to the market more often than usual. The rest was perfect. We had a wonderful time in Tuscany. Our regards to Alessandra, Milvia and Silvano. Thank you."
