Lovely stay by the Rhine

Clean hotel, lovely crew, good food and the view from the balcony is beautiful.

I guess the only perk was as it is an old house, there is no elevator to the upper floors.

Wouldn’t book again

The host was very friendly upon arriving. Free parking in the neighborhood.

The beds were the most uncomfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. The ‘matrasses’ are paper thin but rock hard and the bed itself made so much noice, neither of us slept. The door was very difficult to lock due to the old locks, so in the morning it took us about 10 minutes to free ourselves. So it’s also very dangerous in case of a fire for example. We understand the authentic feel they’re trying to create, but for us it wasn’t a pleasant stay unfortunately.

We liked that the hotel has a story, the items are nostalgic and old, helping you feel the past story of the hotel. The view is very beautiful, the location is nice and there are castles and walking routes that offer a lot of excursion opportunities nearby. The first owner of the hotel lived in a castle nearby, and had it built to live in the winter months Peter told us. hotel manager Peter was very nice person.

Fabulous find

Everything! From the friendly welcome to the fabulous breakfast we couldn't fault this hotel. Full of antique furniture and features. Our room was spacious and airy, the bed was enormous and very comfortable. Loved the little balcony with a lovely view of the Moselle. There was a beautiful, peaceful garden to the back of the property you could sit in. Breakfast had everything you could wish for. Will certainly stay there again when in the area.

We did like the breakfast and the breakfast room. The service of Sylwia was excellent. The view of the bedroom was great.

The photos of the rooms look better than what they are in reality. The rooms need updating, the furniture is looking tired, the matrasses are noisy. The shower is very small.

Interesting building and furniture characteristic of an early period but very comfortable. , Quiet location. Had a room with small balcony overlooking pleasant garden. Owner spoke ex English and very helpful. Ate out at hotel Anker and food was fine, most other diners seemed to be your groups and were glued to phones.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views of the Mosel. The proprietor was friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was great. The room was very romantic and the bed comfortable. We would highly recommend

Good value for money and a good location but not suitable for elderly or infirm guests who like to have Wi-Fi connection

The location was as described, it had an “old world” style and a lovely rear courtyard garden.

Maybe it was the time of year, early June, but the only staff we saw was a man who turned up to open the door for us, from the outside, and give us the key. there was also a woman in the morning who prepared the excellent buffet breakfast. It is not an expensive hotel so that’s probably to be expected. There are a lot of stairs, even to the first floor, we stayed on the second and it was good exercise after several hours in the car getting there. No good for elderly or infirm travelers. Wi-Fi non existent for the rooms at the top of the hotel.

If you want a room with a view of the Mosel river don’t book on Booking.com

Clean, nice breakfast, good shower, great staff.

This hotel advertises itself as “romantic” and “with views of the Mosel river”. While that may be true for som rooms they are not the ones you get when. booking with Booking.com. The vie from our room, 10, is in the attached picture. Also - the wifi signal isn’t strong enough to be useable in that room. We had to use 4G to read mail.

Romantic place

The hotel was very lovely! It is such a romantic place! We had a great room (room number 5) which was very romantic. Perfect for a couple. The view on the Moezel was great. The breakfast in the morning had everything we could have wished for. Very kind owner. Thanks for the stay!
