The hotel was quite nice, with this vintage chic vibe by the river. It has a bit of a fairytale ambiant, with dark red and, lily royal symbols, castle paintings and tapestries, and some rooms even have a four-poster bed to feel like a real princess. Everything was super clean and the beds were exceptionnaly comfortable, we slept like babies. The Rhein view is expectional and the hotel is close to everything (restaurants, bankomat, Lidl, Rewe) so you always get to enjoy the view no matter what.
We did change our dates of reservation to one day earlier, and the hotel accepted. We had booked for 2 big rooms with Rhein view, yet we got 1 big room with mountain view and 1 small room with Rhein view. It was fine, but a heads up would have been appreciated, since the price would have probably been different to what we payed initally.

Good location, big room with seating area and good breakfast.
Spotty WiFi , some communication issues during check-in. Not really setup for walkers.

Really quirky, cosy place that was something a little different from the usual. The hotel looks a little oldy-worldly as you enter but the rooms are recently renovated and very clean and comfortable. The bed was lovely and soft and we had a great night’s sleep, waking up to a gorgeous view of the Rhein. The breakfast was something a little bit special too, with fancy crockery and plenty of food!
The road to the car park was quite tight, but luckily there was plenty of free space during our stay.
The shower also drained poorly, but it wasn’t a huge problem.

Fantastic family-run hotel. The interior is in 1920s style, all furnished with renovated vintage furniture. Entering the hotel is like in Midnight In Paris, except it's still there when you wake up in the morning. The breakfast is amazing, everything is fresh, organic and healthy. If you are vegan or vegetarian, let the staff know beforehand and they will make sure you have alternatives. We forgot to do so, but they still managed to provide a great breakfast with fresh fruit and home-baked bread. The hotel was renovated just a few years ago, but some of the other guests were already regulars that return each year, always a good sign. Staff is charming, friendly and helpful. Having a drink in the plush vintage chairs of the lounge is a lovely way to end each evening. Parking on the street right outside, but if it's all full the hotel have a few spots behind the building. Recommended for exploring the "Romantischen Rhein". We will be sure to return.

An interesting hotel. On first impressions - dark furniture, dark curtains, dark stairwells (lights come on automatically), and large room, we were curious. The property however is great. The room is large, the curtains, albeit interesting, keep the room dark. The view to the river was awesome. The location is great, right on the main road and across from the river. Nice community too as there are few to no tourists, hence quiet. Breakfast is served in a charming room with old pictures and furnishings. Recommend staying here.
The breakfast was served by a host (not a buffet). Our first experience was awesome. The server was there to meet our needs and ensured we had what we wanted. He knew his was way around a restaurant table and serving customers. Our second experience (day 2) was different. Different server. This individual was there for himself, not us. We were provided the necessities and then ignored. No follow up. None. So, we liked server one, did not like server two.

Inexpensive.
Very dark, no coffee in the room. Location was not ideal and no good restaurants within walking distance.

Great little hotel right on the Rhine.

This hotel is a one in a hundred find. The young owners have given it a warm 1920s eclectic feel that reflects their commitment, passion and attention to detail and they cannot do enough to make your stay perfect. The rooms are more like staying in a rich old house than a hotel. If you get a chance ask to meet their beautiful German Shepherd Lilly.
Only that I could only stay one night. It would be a perfect place to use as a base to explore the area for a few days

Loved the hotel! it makes a stay on the Rhein even more romantic thanks to it’s exquisitely decorated 1920’s style, while meeting all the comforts we have come expect today. Breakfast was excellent. Owners/hosts added to a perfect stay. highly recommend using this as a base to explore the region.
so much pride is taken in the hotel that we found nothing to criticise. bathrooms are not renovated yet but are planned to be but are still perfectly fine.

This is a family run small business and we were able to meet them all. They are all exceptionally nice and accommodating, warm and friendly. We had a balcony deluxe room facing the Rhine and loved the view. Just be sure to close the window at night so the street noise isn't heard in the morning. The breakfast is outstanding. A tower of fresh fruit, eggs, yogurt, meats and cheeses and breads. They have a garage which is perfect if you are traveling by bicycle, like we were. Good pillows and linens, comfortable bed.
The ASTRO turf on the balcony is outdated.

The breakfast was just as I hoped for, plenty to eat. Being on the banks of the Rhine, the location was absolutely perfect. The hosts were great and very nice to talk to
The only fault I had,was the road works outside. But that wasn't a fault of the hotel. Otherwise everything was absolutely perfect

the owners are amazing. they were very helpful and kind. the breakfast was brilliant. the hotel building is very old (400yrs) so squeaky floors and rusty corners make the place absolutely unique.

Helt fantastiskt inrett rum. Bekväm säng. Underbar utsikt.
