One of the best views of River Rhine.

River view. Great host. Fair value for the price.

Room quite small but nothing really wrong with it. Stayed during November, where the whole area is rather "dead".

Ideally situated hotel for 2 beautiful hikes along the well documented RheinburgenWeg to Sankt Goar/Oberwesel and Boppard/Rhens/Koblenz Great breakfast including fruit, fruit juices, yoghurt, espresso/.. and salmon. Reasonably priced meals in restaurant. Nice staff and personnel. Free guest card allowing free travel to return after hikes to hotel by train or bus. Parking in front of hotel.

A beautiful place to stay

Everything was lovely. We had a beautiful, comfortable room,with a fantastic view of the river. The coffee machine in the room was a welcome bonus. The staff were all incredibly friendly and breakfast was great. Free parking and proximity to the train station also very helpful.

I can't think of anything to complain about really, other than there being a lot of fruit flies in the room, but that wasn't a problem.

Excellent Stay with Gorgeous Views

Very nice hotel with comfortable rooms overlooking the Rhein River. Our room had a balcony for sitting and watching the river traffic. Parking was free and located across a narrow road from the hotel. They have a lovely restaurant with a great view, where we enjoyed an excellent dinner without going out. The breakfast was amazing and delicious in content and far too large.

Great location and and excellent service. We really enjoyed our stay there. The room, although a bit on the small side, was comfortable and clean. The breakfast and the evening meal in the property’s restaurant were superb. The staff made us feel very welcome, so I definitely would stay there again.

Very nice, traditional hotel with great staff and excellent food.

Breakfast was excellent, plenty of lovely bread choices, hams, cheeses, egg, salmon and yoghurt. The dining room was very pleasant with a lovely outlook over the Rhine. We had dinner one evening and it was delicious and great value for money. The host, Marcus was particularly friendly and helpful and you really receive a warm welcome on arrival. All the staff were very pleasant and obliging. Issued with a complimentary travel pass for the train and bus for the duration of our stay, which was an added bonus.

there is a noisy railway line nearby so you need to close your windows at night to block the noise - but this is not a reason to not stay here as the other advantages outweigh this disadvantage

The traffic,up and down the road. But well made up for by the commercial boat traffic cruising up and down the river and the castle on the hills,and the goats cruising up and down the hills also

Very picturesque location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Excellent value for money. Definitely recommend.

We arrived at 8.50pm - 3 hours later than planned because of horrendous traffic delays en route from Northern Italy. Restaurant closed at 8.30pm so we had to drive some more to find food!!! I’m not complaining but if you expect to arrive after 8.30pm it’s something to bear in mind.

Sehr schön nah am Rhein gelegen.

Obwohl etwas in die Jahre gekommen hat uns die Unterkunft sehr gut gefallen. Es wahr sauber und das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich. Das Restaurant ist auch schön rustikal und bietet leckere gutbürgerliche Speisen.

Eten restaurant was goed.

Kamer aan achterzijde (nr 4) grenst op nog geen 100 meter aan zeer drukke spoorbaan met iedere 10 minuten een denderende trein die ook in de nacht voorbij komt! Staat niet aangegeven bij de boeking.

Sehr schöner und angenehmer Urlaub für ein Kurztrip für 3 Tage

Sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel. Zum Bahnhof Bad Salzig nur 10 Minuten zu Fuss. Mit Bahn nach Boppard nur 3 Minuten. Noch besser geht es nicht.

An der Zimmertür aufschließen mit Schlüssel ist nicht so toll, Tür muß man dabei immer etwas anziehen

Sehr angenehmer Kurzurlaub

Die familiäre Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber, sowie das sehr gute Essen und die Bewirtung im Restaurant. Wir haben in unseren Betten, trotz leichtem Eisenbahn Geräusch, gut geschlafen und an Morgen ein sehr gut angerichtetest Frühstück genossen.

Uns fehlte zum Frühstück ein kleines Angebot an Obst Früchten. Dieses war aber kein großer Mangel, bitte als Hinweis betrachten.

Rundum ein schöner Aufenthalt von 4 Tagen incl. 3 Nächten. Wir werden uns wieder sehen.

Frühstück war sehr gut, alles durchdacht, kein Gedränge an einem Buffett, da alles an den Tisch gebracht wurde. Lecker Brötchen, lecker Rührei, leckere Wurst und Käse, alles top. Die Inhabergeführte Gaststätte bot ein klassisches Essenangebot, das sehr lecker, aber nicht zu teuer war. Für mich als Raucher war der Balkon natürlich super, mit Blick auf den Rhein, die Berge und die Straße, sowie die Eisenbahn. Sehr nette Gastgeber, die sich immer Zeit für ihre Gäste nahmen. Rundum super.

Vom Grunde her, kann nichts anders sein. Die Zimmergrößen sind durch den Grundriss vorgegeben, einen Fahrstuhl kann man nicht erwarten. Es ist ein schöner Altbau.

Gerne wieder!

Sehr schöne Lage mit Blick auf den Rhein und die gegenüberliegenden Burgen, sowohl aus dem Frühstücksraum/Restaurant als auch aus unserem Zimmer. Der Bahnhof ist in wenigen Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Der öffentliche Nahverkehr ist mit der Gästekarte kostenlos nutzbar. Die Gastgeber und das Personal sind sehr freundlich und haben immer einen guten Tipp parat. Das am Tisch servierte Frühstück war hervorragend. Auch die Speisen im hauseigenen Restaurant sind ausgesprochen lecker und gut. Öffentliche Parkmöglichkeiten sind vor dem Hotel ausreichend vorhanden, Fahrräder konnten in der Garage untergestellt werden.
