Nice location right on the river

Rooms were not as advertised. Very small, cramped rooms (not 20sqm as claimed). Some furniture is new and modern, but basics incl the tiny bathroom old and not working properly.

Great hotel

Gorgeous hotel & great service

They upgraded me my room was amazing it was the best room i stayed in in my 12 day stay in germany the host reception man was supper even went with me to checkout the bus schedule 15 minute walk to the castle

It was a 2 mile hike from Loef (Lof with umlaut o) from the train station not a lively area at night (nowhere to see the footie :-(

Nice clean room, great price!

Nice place, comfortable bed. Very clean. We had a great view of the Burg Thurant. Restaurant food was very good and fair prices. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and very good. Staff was very welcoming to our large dog.

The entry way and reception area is very small. With people coming/going, there wasn't room for more than 2-3 people to get through at a time. We were often stuck waiting for people in order to get past to our room. Room was a little small, but we did have enough room 2 adults and large dog.

Great location for the Mosel

A great location to explore this part of the Mosel. The hotel room was comfortable and quiet. Good breakfast and lovely cakes in the afternoon. Enjoyed walking from the hotel through the vineyards to the Burg Thurant. Alken village also very interesting. Good base to visit Burg Eltz a fairy tale castle.

Had what we needed after a long hot day of biking

Breakfast was great, nice selection, and plenty of seating. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and soft beds.

In the summer, rooms needed fans. Walls and doors were thin making it hard to sleep while listening to neighbors' loud TVs.

The staff was wonderful! Very helpful even with my limited German language skills. My single room was perfect for a single traveler - clean, tidy and great water pressure.

A mini fridge would have been nice but the lack of one in the room is to be expected traveling Europe - us silly Americans and our ice cold drink! :)

Overpriced for the quality

Location is great, reception staff very friendly

The free parking offering means parking is for free on tbe street, as long as you find a place to park, or park at the beginning or end of.the village, which can be white . Room was seriously basic for the nightly stay price: squeaky bed, relatively thin mattress, small dimensions, quite small shower and broken showerhead. Lastly English written messages sent to the property were never replied back. Breakfast also is quite poor in options already by 9am

Great location with free parking directly by the Mosel. Good breakfast included in room price. Room was perfectly ok and staff were very responsive and went out of their way to meet all our requests (view of the Mosel, etc.).

Nice stay in the center of Alken

The hotel is located near the river close to all the restaurants and bars. Breakfast was really good and the staff was very friendly. Accommodation was also very clean.

The walls were not soundproof. We could hear the person in the room next to us snore. The pillows were too thin.

Location was directly beside the Mosel and on the “Main Street” along side most of the restaurants and other hotels, wine shops and souvenir stores.

I got the feeling that nobody was very happy. The environment was uninspiring. Aero ice was functional and “cold”.

Our host was very apologetic. At breakfast he refunded us half the price of our booked room. The breakfast was superb.

We were given keys to our room, but we found the room occupied. We were shown an alternative room, but it was a very basic room with two single beds in an annex, accessed through a service entrance. Having booked a double room months in advance, this was not good.

Excepcional relación calidad precio. La señora en la recepción muy amable y un detallazo de una bolsa de chocolatinas en la habitación además de la bebida del mini bar gratis, no siendo solo agua… Habitaciones no muy grande pero con mesa y dos sillas 😁

Idealer Startpunkt für Unternehmungen an der unteren Mosel

Wir haben das Hotel mit Freunden für einen kurzen Wanderurlaub gebucht. Die Lage des Hotels direkt an der Mosel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Bei schönem Wetter lädt sie jederzeit zu einem kurzen Verweilen direkt am Fluss ein. Parkplätze waren Ende Oktober überhaupt kein Problem. Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich reichhaltig und gut. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und auch bei (meiner Ansicht nach unberechtigten Wünschen/Forderungen einzelner Teilnehmer der Gruppe) sehr flexibel. Uns war es wichtig, dass das Hotel mit seiner Lounge bis spät abends die Möglichkeit bot, den Tag bei Wein oder Bier zusammen ausklingen zu lassen.

La posizione lungo la Mosella che era il tratto che abbiamo percorso in bici

La struttura era molto sporca, peli di cane ovunque (cane di proprietà del titolare immagino) ma non abbiamo gradito. Oltre a questo, polvere e poca accortezza in generale alla pulizia degli spazi. Cena: abbiamo cenato internamente, abbiamo atteso oltre un'ora e c'erano pochissime altre persone, non ne abbiamo capito il motivo. Poco organizzati, c'era un cameriere solo che correva come un matto. Entravano e uscivano persone dalla cucina e sembrava gente del posto non dello staff dell'hotel, altra cosa poco gradita. Sembrava tutto molto improvvisato.
