Great authentic German gasthof with excellent food

Outstanding gasthof restaurant with large variety of food. Was happily surprised by a small play place for kids, as well as separate kids menu in the restaurant. Room was spacious with wonderful view, good quality beds and overall just nice and tidy. It’s typical German ‘gasthof’ style, so don’t expect white and black - but the atmosphere is great and staff is very helpful and friendly. Very authentic German place. The rooms has a wonderful balcony, which we used a lot.

The only downside is that the road is pretty busy during day time, so having a room towards the road is not as quite as having one on the backside. However the road side is the sun side, so that was a plus.

Great stay and friendly staff

staff is great , very friendly and helping . they also arranged a birthday cake on request which was so fresh and tasty. restaurant serves good food and the breakfast is also great . the location is nice too

- towels have a weird smell although they are clean .

The view from the balcony was gorgeous, especially with all the snow. The breakfast was lovely(if a bit lacking in the lactose-free options), and the staff was friendly and concise. The location is five minutes from titisee where you can find some absolutely stunning hiking trails, including the one up to Hochfirst. The views and general cozy atmosphere made for a wonderful stay. My fiance and I would absolutely come here again!

The teapot in the room had mold at the bottom - it wasn't a big problem for us, but we noticed. This would have been a 10/10 rating were it not for the mold.

Superb

We stayed in a room which was very spacious and had a big balcony facing back side where we could see the sky and the trees. During our time at the hotel, we had fresh forest air and the mood was really relaxing. The breakfast was very good. The staff was smiling and helpful. Also the hotel has a restaurant and the food is quite good.

The bath room is very small for such a spacious room. It could have been bigger and more comfortable. Also the wifi at the hotel is very poor.

Ein wunderschöner Gasthof in ruhiger Lage. Perfekt zum Entspannen, Wandern, Radfahren oder für sonstige Aktivitäten in der Natur. Sehr nettes Personal und ein entschleunigendes Ambiente.

Leider waren die Zimmer insgesamt sehr alt, und auf den alten Betten war es wirklich sehr unbequem zu schlafen.

Für diesen Preis haben wir leider ein sehr, sehr altes Zimmer bekommen. Im Zimmer hat alles geknarrt, das Bett war klein und extrem unbequem. Auf den Fotos wirkten die Zimmer modern und neu, genau deshalb haben wir uns für diese Buchung entschieden. In Wirklichkeit entsprach das Zimmer jedoch nicht den Bildern. Das Essen war hingegen sehr lecker, das hat uns gut gefallen. Auch der Service war hervorragend – das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

L'accueil est très chaleureux. Le personnel est vraiment très agréable et professionnel. Les plats sont excellents. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet est assez varié et les produits sont de bonne qualité. Agréablement surpris de ce jolie séjour dans cet hôtel. Je recommande vivement si vous cherchez à être dépaysé tout en profitant d'un très bon restaurant et d'un personnel agréable.
