A lovely place to stay

I wish we could have stayed longer than one night. The location is just lovely, and we spent a few hours on the balcony watching the sunset. The room was enormous and the breakfast delicious.

Can't think of anything - we left with a lovely memory of our one night there.

AN EXCELLENT HOTEL, WITH VERY GOOD STAFF AND FACILITIES

This was probably the best hotel I stayed in during this vacation in France & Germany. It's in a lovely and isolated situation - a few kilometres beyond the actual village of Sankt Margen. The room was excellent - a decent size, with a huge picture window and a terrace with a marvellous view. A good bathroom with very good shower, a very comfortable bed. All the staff (particularly the lady who I think was the owner or manager) were most friendly and helpful, and I had a very good evening meal in the restaurant. The breakfast was also good. Car parking was good - plenty of room, and it was possible to back up the car to unload luggage nearer to the door & lift.

It is a quite minor point - but it might be useful to warn potential guests that the hotel is significantly outside the Sankt Margen village!

Very clean and bright room, with nice view of the Black Forest. Good breakfast, nice staff. A bit isolated, but that is also an advantage when you are looking for the nature of the deep Black Forest, out of the masses os tourists.

When we arrived, it was "Ruhe Tag", which means the full staff was out, and the restaurant, closed, We had to get a key in a box, but I had'nt the code. Thankfully, after a phone call, one member of the staff came by car in 10 minutes and opened the box. The wi-fi was also weak, and for a keeping a Zoom meeting I used the reception floor, which was no problem, since the hotel was almost empty.

Little things go a long way!!

Anna at the reception/restaurant was very cheerful, welcoming and warm.. They gave us a free upgrade to an apartment room and that was a pleasant surprise.. we ensured to wake up at dawn and had an amazing morning view of the black forest from the balcony.

Excellent view and modern interior

We book a double room with view over the mountains- it is fantastic! Room is fully renovated with modern and new facilities, which is quite rare for a family-run guesthouse in this area. That’s also why we choose here to stay. We are really satisfied with room, view, location and friendly staff. Also there are lots of options at breakfast.

Someone tried to open our door with keys while we were still sleeping (9 am in the morning). It turned out to be the cleaning lady. It is a bit scary so in the end we just hang the do not disturb sign throughout our whole stay until we check out.

Toller Kurzurlaub mit Familie

Wir hatten mit unseren Kindern ein paar sehr erholsame Tage im Gasthaus Sonne Neuhäusle. Drei Dinge waren besonders schön: Zu allererst die Herzlichkeit und Freundlichkeit des Teams! Zweitens das sehr hochwertig und sehr komfortabel renovierte Appartement. Und drittens der neue und sehr gut ausgestattete Saunabereich. Wir kommen sicher gerne wieder.

Hervorragende Lokation mit Panoramablick

Fantastisches Panorama bis zum Feldberg, trotz Ruhetag gab es noch ein sehr leckeres Abendessen, saubere Zimmer, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, freundliches Personal, Parkplatz vor dem Haus, top Lage!

Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft !!! Hier passt einfach alles,von der absolut durchdachten Ausstattung der Zimmer,der Sauberkeit des ganzen Hauses,des Frühstücksangebots und das sehr sehr freundliche ,zuvorkommende aufmerksame Personals !!!

Das der Saunabereich leider noch nicht fertig war ,aber das wird das nächste Highlight dieses Hauses. ( Bin nur auf der Durchreise gewesen und eigentlich nur zufällig auf diese außergewöhnliche Unterkunft gestoßen. Werde aber nächstes Jahr eine Woche Urlaub dort verbringen. Und wenn ein Gast ,den ich dort kennen gelernt habe,schon seit über 40 Jahren seinen Urlaub dort verbringt ,dann heißt das schon etwas !!! )
