For a romantic stay

Our stay in Profondeville was delightful. It was impossible not to feel good in this room, which we enjoyed to the fullest. It was very comfortable and charming (decor, bed, large bathroom, etc.) with everything we needed at our disposal, including a well-stocked fridge (with some food for breakfast). Breakfast was well served, with fresh bread and soft-boiled eggs delivered to our door. The overall rating of 8 is low compared to how we felt, but everyone can have different tastes and requirements...

On a human level, we would not have disdained meeting the owner or manager.

Recommended for family stays in the area

Convenient location to visit Bioul Castle and Dinant. Profondeville is also a very beautiful place. Friendly host. Spacious rooms. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast including fresh eggs boiled to perfection. TV offers Netflix and youtube, which was appreciated. Good Wi-Fi.

Not really a criticism but one should know that there is no elevator and one needs to be careful not to hit one’s head when climbing the stairs to the last floor. Also there are several bars nearby and it might be a little noisy sometimes (though we did visit on Halloween so maybe that was an exceptional night). In the room, I couldn’t get the coffee machine to work. One last comment/suggestion: bread offered for breakfast was something like multigrain with seeds, which was delicious (for me) but my kids don’t like it and my husband can’t eat it, so we ended up buying white bread from a nearby bakery. Would be nice to have been offered two options, one being plain white bread.

Lovely rural yet lively village with local sports activities and very good restaurants and a Central café nearby

Much thought had been given to providing every little detail of what one might need, soaps, face pads, bud tips, coffee, tea, nesquick, milk, honey, jam, yoghurt just everything. Room was on second floor with two velux windows creating a lovely through draught on this hot day. And even with high windows view out especially if one stood on a stool was lovely - the rock cliffs that line the Meuse. Massive double bed. Large room. Boiled eggs cooked to perfection brought to room in morning with copious fresh bread.

The initial staircase looks daunting, almost 20 stairs straight up. Then two more shorter staircases. Hostess helped carry suitcase. Once you are up you are in own little world. Very peaceful and pleasant. Slight problem that TV control was missing but we borrowed one from another room. However we never actually got live TV working - but were not really bothered - not TV addicts and had internet.

Breakfast was delicious, the welcome quite friendly. The neighborhood feels safe and lovely. It was easy to find and easygoing. There is a wonderful welcome-booklet with tons of helpful information.

Nice BB between Namur and Dinant!

Nice and clean BB with all necessary amenities for couple of nights. Key location between Namur and Dinant! Nice little village situated right on the river ideal for some nice cycling/walking. Easy parking.

Exceptional

Everything was great. It is in a small picturesque town between Namur and Dinant. Room and bathroom was large. Window looked at the church Nextdoor. Short walk to the river which has a nice walking/biking trail along the river. The host had the fridge stocked up (including two beers! 🙂). She also would accommodate late check-in with a keybox. I woul give this place 20 out of 10!!

Steep stairs to upper floors. That was ok for us. And she warned us in a message. Language barrier can be managed with Google translate!

Superb

An amazing cozy place. With all the appliances needed, comfy, nice room, enormous bathroom, a delicious breakfast with fresh bread! They where so nice to let us do a late check-in! The small city and all the beautiful landscapes are so incredible! We can go by bike to everywhere (don't forget your bike or rent some at some place near by). I would recommend this place and I wish I could come back again!

I wasn't expected soft boiled eggs, hard boiled would've been easier to eat. The butter was also expired. Otherwise I thought the selection was good for breakfast and the yogurt was delicious.

Really nice attic room

I had a really nice attic room. There is soap, towels, hairdryer,... The room also had a fridge (with breakfast supplies) and coffee machine. I left before breakfast time but the lady made sure I got some bread in the evening. Everything was nice and clean. There was also information about surrounding restaurants in the room.

The jam and chocolate paste in the fridge were an open large jar. I would prefer to see them in small, closed packaging.

Bathroom is really big, you have a bath and shower. Location is perfect, you can start walking from the B&B and you have a good connection to Namur and Dinant.

The breakfast could be better for a B&B. It was good though that it's self service, but options are limited.

stuff is very helpful, though we arrived at late hour, staff welcomed us to check-in, and offered us bigger room and more comfortable than the one we reserved. Room is very clean. Breakfast is wonderful and fresh; they offer breakfast at room which we thought it is not a good idea, then we found out that it is wonderful to get your breakfast the moment you want, and you have everything in your fridge to eat whenever you want. Beds and view are both wonderful.

Perfect romantic getaway!

we loved the location, the rooms were very big and comfortable. Everything you needed was in the room available. Loved the breakfast aswell and the friendliness of the host!

The bed was a little hard and there were some spider webs in the room/bathroom.

Centrally located village home with friendly hosts

The hospitality offered was exceptional. Booking.com was not clear on the number of beds and we thought there was room for 2 adults and 2 children there were only 3 beds. However our host did everything possible to accommodate us at no extra cost. Lovely Bathroom and good size shower.
