Great host. Super Guest House in good location.

Maarten is a big presence as a host. Very helpful with practical hints to make a good day out. His staff were excellent. This is a very popular Guest House, the reviews are excellent and deservedly so. Because of its popularity the only room available was described as a 'budget room'. Maarten had pre warned us that it wasn't especially spacious, but this was clearly reflected in the price we paid. As it happens although the room was fairly compact it was comfortable enough for us. Don't think Maarten and his staff could have done anymore to make us feel welcomed. Recommended

The whole property is amazing. Nice pool, cozy interior, very nice staff. Especially Maarten and Philip are really welcoming and giving advice for what to do around. 10/10 would do it again

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely wonderful stay at Maartens Guesthouse!

We had such a lovely time at Maartens Guesthouse in Fresnaye! The accommodation was exactly like in the photos—clean, stylish, and very comfortable. From the moment we arrived, Maarten made us feel incredibly welcome. He’s such a kind and helpful host, and you can really feel the warm, familiar atmosphere he creates in his guesthouse. Our room was already ready early in the morning, so he kindly allowed us to check in much earlier than expected. He also let us store our luggage for the day after check-out, which was really convenient. During our stay, we decided to extend for one more night, and Maarten made it happen smoothly and without any hassle. It was also a pleasure to meet the other guests—everyone was really friendly, which added to the relaxed and homey vibe. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Cape Town. Highly recommended! The area is really safe and we were walking down to the city centre and beaches most of the time. Other than walking, Uber is also a great and cheap option to get around in town.

Excellent place to stay in Cape Town, We liked it a lot!

We stayed at Maarten’s guesthouse for two days and we loved it a lot! Maarten was very welcoming and gave us a lot of information about Cape Town and how to get to places. His place is peaceful, the pool was great and breakfast was tasty. We definitely recomend!

Stay in comfort close to the hub of Sea Point.

Although we spent very little time on the property, Maarten and Phillip made us feel very welcome. I have never stayed in Sea Point, and the location exceeded my expectations. We loved being close to the buzz that is Sea Point. Although it might be construed as negative, the area is not quiet, however, this was not a requisite for us. Access to the guesthouse was a breeze. We will stay at Maartens Guest House again.

Very comfortable stay, great location and views with delicious breakfast

The facilities are great. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are equipped with a coffee / tea station, 2 point wall plugs, heating, A/C and basic toiletries. I love that there’s a guest fridge and a very well stocked honesty bar with a great selection of soft drinks, wines and South African ciders :)

Excellent host and staff. Property located in a nice quiet area. The property has a distinct charm. The provision of secure parking was a bonus. I chose a small double bed room which was adequate for one, I would think it would be a bit of a squeeze for two. The bed was very comfortable
