Beautiful apartment in the heart of Rovinj old town

Really central - right off the main square in the Old Town. Supermarket and bakery right on doorstep as well as lovely restaurants. Host was lovely gave us lots of recommendations. We went in end October and the heater was out on in advance in my son’s room which was so thoughtful.

We loved everything- the stairs are steep which is only a problem if you’re not fit/ unsteady in your feet. It’s the top flat though so the stairs do mean you have a lovely view across all the old town roofs

Great location, great view, great place!

Lovely apartment, perfect location in the Old Town, spacious and authentic. We loved the amazing view over Rovinj rooftops. The heating was very good (in January), the apartment is also very airy and full of natural light, which is kind of rare in the Old Town area. Communication with the owner was friendly and easy. Full recommendation!

The only thing that one should bare in mind when choosing this place is the fact that it is on the 4th floor and the staircase is really steep and narrow. This should be no problem at all for most people, but if you travel with toddlers, elderly or someone with disability, you should perhaps consider another option. I would also recommend packing arrangement with couple of smaller bags rather than big and heavy one, which I guess would be generally advised in the Old Town, since it is a hilly pedestrian zone and historic buildings do not have elevators.

Cosy apartment with great AC and perfect location

The apartment is right in the middle of the old town, the church is just a 4 minute walk. The air conditioning is one of the best I've had, it was so nice to arrive home to a cool apartment. Tatjana, out host was so kind, and helpful, she even helped my mother's baggage up the stairs, and gave us tips on how to spend our days in and around the city. She also helped us get cheaper parking. We had almost everything we needed (exept for a microwave oven) to prepare some snacks and easy meals in the morning, or evening. They even prepared coffee capsules for us, which is a great plus if you can't start your day without it. The view is really charming, especially if you like old town rooftops, like we did. You could almost imagine yourself jumping around like in spy movies. From one of the rooms you could also see some fregments of the famous gate of the city. Very nice furniture too.

I have to say in advance, that nothing was really negative, it's just a consequence of the location of the place, and not the fault of the owner, but worth mentioning so you come prepared with the informations. The apartment is in the heart of the old town, so you can't even come in with a car. You have to park further, and walk, 10-15 minutes, which can be a lot if you have to carry your baggage. The parking is expensive, but the host might be able to help you with that, as she did in our case, which was much appreciated. The apartment is on the top (4th) floor of a historic old building, right next to the famous gate of the city, but this means narrow, steep stairs you have to climb every time you want to go home. It's not terrible, but might be hard for an older person. There was no microwave. All in all, it's a really great place, we loved to stay here!

I read the description about steep stairs but I was thinking “steep” by American standards, not European standards. These steps are not like anything I’ve ever seen before, but my 79- year old mother was able to go up and down them multiple times. I was also confused about the parking options but ultimately found places to park

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and watching World Cup!

The host is warm, friendly and responsive. She was so thoughtful and heat up the apartment prior our arrival and provided tidbits for kids and wine for adults. The location is great to explore Rovinj with eateries nearby. The carpark is just within 5 mins walk.

We had a great stay here. The apartment is very charming and the location could not be more perfect.

We loved the owner, the pace, the decor and most of all the location, could not be more perfect. We had everything we needed, it was very clean and the owner was super helpful sending us suggestions for restaurants and things to do.

One thing to mention is that the stairs are very very steep, more like a leader :))) The owner is very nice and she put a photo of stairs in the photo gallery so not trying to hide it, but just something to point out. Another thing to note is that there is no free parking nearby and payed parking is quite expensive. We parked far away on the free parking and then did not use the car during our stay because the location is very central to Rovinj, but if you want to take day trips around Istria during the day this is something to consider...

Amazing location and excellent host, super helpful and did everything to make sure we had a perfect stay.

I hadn't realised there would be quite so many stairs, it was perfectly suitable for us but worth noting if you have any mobility problems.

This flat is tastefully and thoughtfully appointed and is in the beautiful old town of Rovinj. Tania was a great pleasure to interact with and helped me in several ways during the stay. I loved this place!

Our stay was to short we will come back because of Rovinj and because of Casa Alek.

The communication with the host and the welcome atb the arrival was excellent 10/10 points are not enough. The apartment is located in the upper floor of the house with a nice view over the city. The furniture and interior design could not be more charming and romantic. Perfect location in sharming old city center, marina docks around the corner and just minutes of walk away from the clean beaches.

Steep stairs are maby a challenge for older* people ( * +/-100 years) and no go for disabled but on other site a part of local arhitekture and a big help to reduce the calories after every abundant dinner in the restaurants next to the house.

Perfekte Lage, ein paar Schritte vom Parkplatz am Hafen, direkt hinter Hotel Adriatic am Hauptplatz. Blick ueber die Daecher von Rovinj. Ein reizendes Appartment mit allem was man braucht, inklusive Fernseher mit 100en Programmen. Die Gastgeberin ist grossartig und hat uns bei Ankunft schon vor dem Haus erwartet. Sie hat sich auch jede Menge Zeit genommen uns mit Informationen zu versorgen und war waehrend unseres Aufenthaltes immer sofort mit Rat und Tat zur Verfuegung. So haben wir beim besten Fischhaendler tollen Fisch (Geheimtip) gekauft, sind in einem super Restaurant Kanobe Jure gewesen, etwas ausserhalb des Zentrums (12 min zu Fuss).

Un excellent séjour à Rovinj

Le logement est idéalement situé en plein cœur de la vieille ville de Rovinj. Il est donc directement dans les rues piétonnes où se trouvent les restaurants, les boutiques... . La marina et le port sont à quelques dizaines de mètres et de nombreuses excursions partent de cet endroits. Le logement est situé au dernier étage d'un immeuble vraiment typique. Les escaliers sont raides, mais c'est aussi ce qui fait le charme du lieu. L'appartement est décoré avec goût. Il dispose de 2 chambres avec des lits confortables. La propriétaire est vraiment adorable et très serviable. Elle nous a donné beaucoup d'informations et à répondu à toutes nos demandes rapidement, en étant toujours "aux petits soins" pour nous. Elle a tout fait pour rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible. Nous recommandons ce logement pour ceux qui souhaitent être en plein cœur du quartier historique. Le lieux est très animé le jour comme le soir. Les commerces sont ouverts jusqu'à au moins 22h et il y a des chanteurs dans les rues tous les soirs.

Idéal

Appartement très cosy et très propre. L emplacement est idéal et à proximité des animations du port mais tout en étant au calme (appartement très bien isolé phoniquement). La propriétaire est adorable et très disponible si nous avons besoin de conseils. L' escalier pour accéder au logement est en effet un peu raide mais c est le cas de tous les logements à étages dans la vieille ville de Rovinj. Je recommande vivement et nous n avons qu une envie c est d y revenir!

Det låg väldigt centralt, luftkonditionering och tvättmaskin. Mysig lägenhet och mycket hjälpsam och trevlig värd.

Wi-Fi räckte inte riktigt till för 4 personer samtidigt.
