Nice clean machiya in the quite neighbourhood.
It belongs to a hotel brand and we had to go to the hotel first for check in. Staff arranged taxi from the hotel to the facility, but making online check in would be easier, as facility is much closer to the local station than hotel from the Kyoto station. It would save us a walk in +35C on busy streets with bags.

Great location and it was lovely to stay in a traditional Japanese home. Close to a train station which made it easy to get to everywhere in Kyoto but it was away from the hustle and bustle.
Beds were uncomfortable and the noise of the cicadas woke us up in the morning but this was unavoidable.
