Aoi-Riverside Old Townhouse

Everything was done right. Excellent accommodations. Roomy, comfortable, and pleasant in a great area.

Excellent location, easy to find, very fast and nice communication with the owners and you could tell they really cared about us having an exceptional stay.

It was a bit cold! We had all the heaters on most of the time to keep it a better temperature. But there were slippers to keep our feet warmer and lots of blankets around to keep warm.

The house was clean and quiet and in a lovely part of town with friendly neighbours. The house was traditional and comfortable. We loved how the guests left English speaking kids books out for us and everything was easy to find and use. The house was also very close to a train station so easy to get to.

The host didn’t reply to any of our emails after the check in day, which made it hard to understand what to do with our compost and nappies which weren’t included on the list of things to separate while doing the trash. The doors sills are very low (I’m 6 foot tall and I would hit my head multiple times a day) so I would have liked some padding on 2 of the door frames as I saw in other houses and restaurants or at least some photos or early notice that the door sills were so low before we got there. Apart from that they were clear communicators before we arrived with directions on how to get there and all the other house logistics were great.
