The place is really nice and quite close from Kyoto main station (15 min walking), it's clean, has a greater washer/dryer and a fantastic bathroom with bathtub and shower and plenty of space.
Even if it was close form the Kyoto train station, it was a bit far from the city center (especially in summer where you don't want to walk too much). With a combination of train/bus/go you can achieve great things but you need to be organized (we couldn't try bikes due to young kids/crazy temperature).
