The host was very accommodating and when I had questions they got back very quickly. If I am ever in Kyoto again I will definitely stay there again.
The stairs were a little steep and there weren't a lot of wall plugs. I few times I had trouble getting the heater to work but figured it out later on.

Got it for the location on the edge of Kyoto. All my previous stays were near my office by the shinkansen station or a commute from Otsu. Big house with 4 bicycles near 2 small rail stations. Good to have the washer/dryer combo instead of line drying.
Anyone new to Japan without the duck reflex can get “gaijin scalp” on the doorways.

A place I highly recommend. Good location, cozy, has everything you need, and the spaces are perfect for spending time, not just for relaxing. It's a home away from home in Japan. Saori's service was top-notch, always attentive to our needs. It's very central. The location was perfect. Six of us stayed and slept very well. There's a space for one to hang out and chat, with heating. We loved it.
