One of the best places we have stayed in and will definitely recommend Clifton's GH to our friends!

Excellent location and our hosts were very welcoming. Our room was very spacious, with a distant view of the cathedral. Good choice at breakfast and great service.

The property is set back from the busy main road into Truro, but we could still hear the traffic noise, however this would not stop us from staying here in the future, because we liked it so much.

Clifton's I night stay

Hosts, excellent breakfast, nice table and two chairs in the bay window. The room was immaculately clean.

We didn't mention it but the radiator in our room was off and the room was a bit cold when we came back in the evening. Not their fault but we are two quite big guys and would have booked a bigger bed if available. Very minor things and we would still want to stay there again. Definitely highly recommend.

A fabulous little guest house

We had a lovely 2 night stay, in a superior double room. The welcome was first class, we were shown our delightful light and airy room overlooking the main road, the noise was minimal, and didn’t cause any problems. The bathroom was modern and lacked nothing you would expect, the shower worked perfectly, our bed was very comfortable indeed. We ate 2 hearty breakfasts, which was more than adequate. I was slightly worried when reading the past reviews about the rear parking area, but because I’d done my homework, I was simple to accomplish, the car park area level and expertly paved which could accommodate 6 cars, impossible not to block others in if all the bays were used, thankfully the problem didn’t arise. We will certainly be back if we ever return to the same area

breakfasts were excellent. the twin room we had was spacious and nice and light. The location was ideal to get on the main road to other places or to walk into the centre of Truro.

the only thing was the tv was a bit small to see clearly if you were in bed , but hey you dont go on holiday for that.

Great location, minutes from the city center. Amazing cooked full English breakfast. Hosts did a great intro to Truro on arrival on how to find everything. Room was cosy with a soft bed, with a powerful shower. Would stay again.

A break from the hustle bustle of modern life

This beautiful Victorian is loving kept it has a luscious garden for sitting and enjoying the day. The hosts Peter and Norbert were very helpful in planning our daily excursions as well as providing a delicious morning meal presented in a cosy nook. We truly had a marvelous time.

Location was very good, not far from Truro city centre within walking distance. Great base location to visit different places. Peter & Norbert were friendly, very welcoming and very knowledgeable. We had the perfect stay at Clifton's Guest House. The rooms and communal spaces were comfortable, immaculate and spotlessly clean. Peter and Norbert could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. They were so interested in our plans and experiences in Cornwall, offering local advice and knowledge and checking in on us at the end of the day with genuine interest and care. We were in Cornwall on a family trip celebrating my father's 80th birthday and they were so kind to celebrate with us over the delicious and hearty breakfast. After reading such good reviews I came with high expectations that were more than exceeded. A perfect stay - do not hesitate to book if you are considering a stay in Truro.

The hotel is on a dual-carriageway so you’re not really able to stop. Unbelievably, google maps took us straight to the parking behind the hotel, but I was surprised the hotel didn’t warn us about it beforehand.

The rooms were so well thought out and furnished with lots of attention to detail that we definitely appreciated . Couldn’t fault it . Also loved the options I pick if an honesty bar . Our only negative was , not really being made to feel welcome . The boys seemed tired of it all and that’s the time to go because guests should have no clue that is how they feel . - sadly we did pick up on that quite quickly .
