Our fifth stay now, never disappointed; always good value for a small historic hotel.

Good breakfast. Convenient for eating, seeing family and Xmas shopping. Reasonable standard of comfort. Plenty of sockets and a spacious bathroom. Very attentive staff - most of the time.

Paying for coffee at breakfast, staff don’t always listen to replies/orders. Showers unreliable. Once set, during a shower (without touching dials) they can vary between too hot and cold. Guests not warned that external ‘block bookings’(Xmas) means we had nowhere to sit with bar drinks.

Perfect for our requirements and wr look forward to staying there again next year

We have stayed there several times and always had a comfortable stay. The staff are friendly and polite. The hotel is ideally situated close to the town and shops,C and for us close to the theatre.

Ideal Treat When Visiting HFC

Mannings is just across the way from the Hall for Cornwall so it makes an ideal place to stay if watching a late show and you want a drink. The car parking is free and they do not mind if you park a little earlier than check in so that you can do some shopping or looking around. Staff are always super friendly and helpful.

Perfect city location with parking included Continental breakfast included

No lift, but we do know that. Its just unfortunate that this time we stayed we were put on the third floor and we had both been recently ill (i had a recent heart attack). I will take responsibility though because I could have called ahead and asked for a lower floor but i didn’t think about it. The bar area is very small, I really wanted to chill out in the bar but no where to sit

Overnight stay - attending event at Hall for Cornwall

Location amazing as well as free parking. Room was nice and clean, but bedlinen not brilliant. Very thin duvet and a pillow menu would be nice. Also some complimentary water. Breakfast was nice for continental but it seemed that you had to pay the full a la carte price if you wanted any cooked items. ( surely it would be more fare if it was simply a small supplement rather than the full price one would have paid if you were not staying in the hotel?) It was great to have a bath in the room rather than just a shower

Sleepless in Truro

Some staff were friendly

I was woken up at 5am by noises from the road. Totally inadequate glazing. I had booked for 2 nights but decided to leave after the first night because of lack of sleep. However, I was refused a refund on the second night because of the booking terms and conditions. Hospitality at its finest.

It served its purpose for a break of journey.

Fine, as we didn’t want a cooked breakfast. If we had, we’d have had to seek out someone to give our order to.

We had to leave the hotel to get coffee with local friends who met us as we checked out. It surprised us that morning coffee was not a thing.
