Buchan Guest House

Wow, what a place. Everything about it is brilliant. The hosts that can’t do enough for you, the original outside of the building, the breakfast and of course the room with the massive bed and massive shower. It’s that good, we booked to stay again, while we were there

Everything about our stay and the guest house was perfect. Located within a few minutes stroll of the town centre with plenty parking at the front and rear of the property. It is decorated to a high standard and spotless through out. There is a lovely guest lounge with the biggest TV I’ve seen. Coffee and tea making facilities in every room and bottled water if required. The owners are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is better than anything I’ve had in a hotel. Top quality ingredients beautifully cooked.

There is nothing to dislike about the property.

Buchan House is in a quiet street just a short walk from the town centre. They have a large car park behind the house but we just park in the street. This was our second visit and the first time we have met owners George and Elena who made us feel most welcome. I booked room 3 which is very spacious and beautifully decorated and furnished. The en-suite is also roomy and very well appointed with top quality fittings, including a fabulous shower. Breakfast was top class and after a lovely fruit salad with yogurt we enjoyed splendid cooked breakfasts that easily met my simple requirements, ie top quality ingredients, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. The word “substantial” is also appropriate and I can’t see us wanting much more to eat for the rest of the day. The bottom line is that this is a fabulous B&B. Every element would place it at the luxury end of the scale, yet it retains a lovely sense of friendly informality. You couldn’t find better.
