Location, parking, garden, fridge and microwave to be able to chill.
Maureen did a good breakfast, but she was also helpful. She put my ice blocks in her freezer so I could take steak pies home.

The cottage was well cared for, cleanliness excellent ,the breakfast was excellent value ,all the extras provided were over and above what we had expected ,a bag of treats for the pooches, location was on point for a walk into Moffat and the park,the host was a lovely lady who obviously cares about people and ensuring they have a comfortable stay, a real jewel in the crown, no parking issues at property ,cottage set in lovely grounds definitely would book to stay again

We loved everything at Grooms Cottage. It was spotless and all the little thoughtful touches made a great stay a fantastic one. The location is perfect for a stopover either north or south although a longer stay would be good too. Just to add the breakfast lived up to expectation from previous reviews. 😋. We’d have no hesitation booking again.
