Dallam Tower and Levens Hall - both of which are historic stately homes with deer parks, topiary and ornamental gardens - provide a great day out for visitors. Other excellent attractions include Leighton Hall, Sizergh Castle, the Great Lakes Aquarium, Windermere and Grizedale Forest – all of which are located within easy reach.

Booking via FeWo direct was very easy and comfortable. The direct contact with the owner thereafter - a welcome email and a 2nd for the key arrangements - was friendly, open and quick.Greystones was very clean and well equiped. The owners (next door) very friendly and helpful recommending hiking tours to us.We found Greystones being a good spot to start several tours, here to mention Staveley, Kentmere, Ambleside and Fairy Steps near Milnthorp/Beetham (that was a smaller walk for a late start after a rainy morning). Also walking along the Lancaster Canal with the dog in the morning was perfect.We enjoyed our stay at Greystones and would love to come back again. We can definitely recommend it.

Accommodation was fab, couldn’t of asked for more, kitchen was fully stocked with every pan and gadgets needed. It was all sparkling clean, plenty of cleaning products supplied towels and bedding fresh. Had a wonderful chilled 3 nights . Thank you Greystones
