Nice caravan but uncomfortable

Great location, nicely furnished, good size decking

The beds were very uncomfortable, almost unsleepable. Every mattress had springs popping out. Definitely needed to upgrade them when it was refurbished. The property says it sleeps 8 with the sofa being a sofa bed this is NOT the case we had to push the poof up to the sofa to try and make it sleep able for 2 people.

We had a great stay. Love the location!

We like the location and we used it as our base for visiting the lakes. Property well equipped. It was great to have an airfryer!!! Great contact with the owner. Thanks for having us.

One of the beds looked and smelled like it wasn’t changed for us. There were stains on the duvet cover etc. It was an extra bed for us so didn’t bother me too much.

Quiet location but well placed for day trips

The location was within a few short miles of the nearest town with supermarkets for everything needed for a self-catering holiday. Easily within range of the Lakes and the seaside destinations of Morecambe and Blackpool. We also found a local beach at Silverdale. If you needed to stay at home, the deck area was great for relaxing on the furniture provided.

Disposing of the rubbish was tricky. We could not find any communal bins and so had to drive daily to the local waste disposal facility with bags of rubbish. Described as a lake view but this was about 50 metres away and a 3 metre gap between two other homes. Neighbours not very friendly regarding crossing their property to view the lake..!!

The location is perfect. Great for the whole family including our Springer. The decked area is a fabulous sun trap. Michael is an amazing host.

Peaceful, nice location.

Lovely quiet area. Decking is a great addition. New boiler. Hive heating installed. The DVDs and games were a nice addition. The leisure facilities are chargeable. But they were wonderful.

Unfortunately little touches were lacking. It’s a very well equipped kitchen but unfortunately most items needed cleaning. The mattresses are uncomfortable, mattress toppers would be a great addition.

Disappointed

Very tired. Curtains were mouldy,carpet stained, dirty throws on sofa. Boiler kept losing pressure, so a battle for hot water and heating, had to keep repressurising boiler. There is no WiFi as advertised, messaged owner but no response. Facilities advertised are on another site down the road, so pool etc has to be paid for, club house is nice though, even though it's on other site. It is a little noisy being close to motorway. And as for the shower..take a watering can with you!!

Superb

The caravan was exceptionally well equipt, everything and more that you would want. The park is so lovely and quiet no arcades, with teenage boys who love fishing it was ideal and the younger kids could play on the large balcony, very relaxing stress free stay

Couldn't find a dust pan and brush, and with 5 children, we needed one, no shops in the area to purchase one either.

Beds were extremely uncomfortable swimming pool had to be paid for even though it stated it was free on booking.com would not have booked if I had known the pool had to be paid for each day! Very annoying

A fantastic break, excellent caravan would definitely return

A peaceful location. Perfect base to explore the Lake District. The caravan was fantastic, very homely and clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Didn’t have any problems finding the site, the caravan was very clean and had all the facilities and everything required for an enjoyable trip

The cleaners turning up at 1015 demanding we leave so they can clean, we we’re packing up the car and nearly ready to go. We left at 1020 so they shouldn’t have been hostile

For the price paid disappointed especially with beds.

Location. Good television with access to a range of channels and programs.

Beds very uncomfortable, springs dug into us. No plug or basin for kitchen sink. Caravan had a dog smell especially in back double bedroom which we were surprised about as caravan is deep cleaned after pet stays.

Relaxing, enjoyable and will return.

The caravan was immaculate on arrival and all instructions clear and well communicated. I spoke with the owner on the day of arrival who explained that the previous renter had broken a shelf and also damaged the grass, I appreciated his honesty and that this has been pointed out before we arrived. I would not hesitate to use this lovely holiday lodge again. Peaceful location which is in easy reach of Carnforth if you like to venture out.

Highly recommend. Beautiful place 😍

Beautiful lodge, exceptionally clean and lovely little touches throughout to keep the kids entertained. Lovely welcome gift as we arrived. Would highly recommend and we will be back soon for definite. Decking outside is a really nice thing to have too with plenty of seating. Be really nice in the warmer months. Can't wait to go back

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! SMELL

Good location and the pub and pool which is not on the site but a walk away was ok.

Oh my word, please please AVOID at all costs!!! The smell and state of this caravan is horrendous, we had to leave early, even my dog couldn't cope. We Knew that the boiler had leaked but that wasn't even the problem, the cleaner hadn't cleaned at all and there was still rubbish in the bins, carpet not cleaned ..even when we cleaned the hoover made the smell of dog wee even worse! I am mortified that this caravan was even allowed to be rented out and taken money from customers. We couldn't take our shoes off as we felt it was so dirty. I had to go to Aldi that was down the road to buy cleaning products. All in all needs a gutting, new cleaner and a mop!! And no carpets if accepting animals. Never will go again

Well equipped, some slight flaws

The caravan was well-equipped with everything you need being home from home. Sofa was great for relaxing, patio/decking area was great, BBQ supplied. Fantastic area

The caravan wasn't cleaned thoroughly, we found a used razor in the bathroom, and a used Cotton Bud in the bedroom. I was gutted. I contacted the owner and he offered me 15% discoint on my next stay, but we wont be going back. The bedroom doors were a knightmare to open and close, as there was a new carpet (great). But my daughter slept on the sofa as she was scared of being stuck in her room, should she not open the door. So it wasnt the beat for her, sleeping. I did think we had a lake view, but we were in the quieter side of the park. But that was fine, but felt I was mislead. Just check

Property was lovely. tv Fridays toaster cooker included. All dishes included too.

They advertised with pictures as indoor swimming available and restaurant. Please note there is nothing on this site, just other caravans. No restaurant, no facilities nothing to do at all. kids were very disappointed. I only booked this because it stated that these were available. I’ll never use booking.com again because of this. It’s false advertising. Owner never communicated this and didn’t reply to messages. For this reason I would recommend you not to book here. Please go to the neighbouring sites where facilities are available.

The caravan was as clean as our own home, and checking in was a doddle. The kitchen was well equipped. The site was friendly yet quiet of a night time.

Only the matress was a let down, and motorway noise was apparent the first night but we soon got used to it. WiFi wasn't available but we didn't want to contact the owner as he too was on his holiday.
