Travelodge Morecambe

Very nice staff on receotion espesialy young man and night staff cant fault any of them extremly helpfull and lovely people would go back and recommend it for any one with dogs.

Enjoyed my no stress stay at Morecambe

The hotel is an ideal location & nice & clean however we booked through a 3rd party agoda but i accidentally booked the wrong dates so I rebooked the correct wknd but agoda wouldn't let me cancel or even change the dates ! Totally ignored my emails & just kept getting automated emails saying can't cancel can't change dates ? I'll never ever book through them again & would recommend others not doing so 🤬

My heart sank when the taxi dropped me off. I've booked good value, out of season hotels before but this was definitely the grimmest location I've ever come across. When I walked into my room I wanted to turn round and go home. My view was the top of the dilapidated shopping centre where this building is located, and the sky above. Fortunately the sky was blue but the unfortunate bit was that the windows were narrow and dirty. I was also disappointed that there was nothing except bedrooms - no breakfast room, no coffee shop, no lounge area, so I spent a lot of money in cafes to get away from the room I was hoping to spend three days in, writing. And there is no parking and you have to pay for using the internet. So it wasn't the good value deal I thought I was getting. I could have paid £20 more a night for somewhere more pleasant and still saved money. Having said that my room was immaculate (apart from the windows). The bed was the standard clean and very comfortable double I expect from a Travelodge. The heating was efficient and the curtains were thick and light resistant. The bathroom was spotless with large fluffy white towels. The desk and chair were good (I'd come here to work), And it was very quiet at night. Hanging and clothes storage was abysmal - not a single drawer in the room, not even a bedside cabinet and the clothes space was the awful five naked hangers in a corner and the shelf above occupied by spare pillows, so utterly useless for storing anything. There were no glasses (plastic or otherwise) in the bathroom, no bed making or washing of cups or cleaning of the bathroom. However, the staff were really friendly and helpful and gave this soulless building a warmer feeling. I suspect if you're just here to be close to the sea and only sleeping in your room, then it probably is an OK place to stay, but I made a big mistake choosing this hotel for what I needed.
