Very pleasant cottage, with a well-equipped kitchen. While there, we felt no need of ours was unmet, thanks to the thoughtful hosts.
We found the traffic around the property quite intense, making access to the property with our dog and bags tricky.

The property was in an excellent location. The host was very attentive and friendly. The property was clean. The property had Prime on the TV which was brilliant for a family movie night.

Proximity to town
No parking by House, not really a negative but worth knowing where to go. There is car park quite near by a church that was safe overnight parking and not expensive.

We had a perfect, cozy stay for our family of three. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, and the location was excellent. It was just a short walk to shops and restaurants, and a great base for nearby walks and activities. The owners were extremely helpful, responsive, and organized.
Nothing. We had a wonderful experience and no complaints at all.

Home from home, cosy and everything you need also a short walk from centre.

The property was small but comfortable and right in the heart of Kendal. We have a young daughter and a little dog and were able to walk to bars, restaurants, parks and tourist attractions. We had great communication from the hosts and they made us feel really welcome. We would definitely return for future holidays.
There was nothing not to like. The fridge was a little small but had no impact on our stay. Just don’t do too large a shop.

It was cosy and homely, and a very convenient location. It had a little plug in heater which was useful, and good cooking equipment.
Nothing.

A perfect bolthole right in the centre of Kendal
It was great for our needs but if you really want me to say something negative I cant really recommend the helipad. It was a long walk….

We loved everything about the accommodation. The location was perfect with so much around, from eating and drinking to walks and short drives to explore other areas. The hosts were amazing, providing all info needed before arrival and then messaged to make sure everything was good during our stay. This was a lovely touch. The house was perfect with everything you could need as a self catering accommodation and we would absolutely return in the future!
There was nothing we didn’t like!

Central location. Easy communication with Host. Clean. Upstairs facilities very good. Good internet quality. Added faciliies for dog - blankets and dishes. Kendal itself friendly and busy. Surrounding countryside full of dogs walks. Local Ale house a bonus!
Kitchen could have been better laid out - fridge small and awkward to see inside. Many of the plates mugs and glasses all together in cupboard under the counter - better use could have been made of walls for a plate rack or mug tree on a counter. Internet TV - great to have access to Netsflix Disney Prime etc but had to keep keying in code whenever you changed channel.

Wee Toad Hole Cottage was perfect for our short break. It was located in the centre of Kendal which meant we could walk straight into the town. Our host was brilliant, we were contacted to check everything was ok. The cottage itself was incredible! It had everything we needed in terms of facilities and equipment, it was clean, comfortable and cute! Really enjoyed a restful few days there and would be happy to go again! Thank you!

Great location, modern, clean. Spacious bedrooms, good water pressure in the shower
Far too small main living area for 5 guests. Photos are very deceptive.
Sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable.
Not dog friendly- too many rules
No lock on bathroom door

The location was great. It was really close to the centre of Kendal. There's a park over the road that the kids loved playing on. The house itself is small, but has a lot of character. The kitchen and bathroom were good too.
We were really disappointed that the house wasn't clean, especially as i had booked it for my dad as a 70th birthday present. It's a dog friendly house, but I didn't expect the sofa to be covered in dog hairs and there to be dog hairs under the covers in the bed. We had to hoover the sofa and change the bedding ourselves. I don't think that the top floor bedding had been changed since it was previously stayed in as there were long hairs and crumbs in the bed. I rang the owners, who were apologetic and refunded us some money. They offered to have the cleaner come back the next day, but I wanted it clean there and then, so did it myself.

Quaint, comfortable
Very close to town center
Ceiling height to roof bedroom. Must have missed height issue on website. Being 6’3” was an issue. Could have stayed on 1st floor but found mattress not to my liking

We loved staying at Wee Toad Hole! It's located just 1-minute walk from the bus stop and within walking distance to the centre. The whole house is cozy and beautifully decorated. The host was so thoughtful with every single detail and very responsive. She's always there to reply to my texts instantly. We just loved the place very much :)

Was fine for a short stay
Could not get the TV to work properly and the carpet in living room did not lay flat so could be dangerous

Location was fantastic
Not enough towels for our 4 night stay. No mirror to do make up and hair in top bedroom. No stair gate to stop dog going upstairs. Outside fence would not prevent a small dog from escaping. A washing machine would be advantageous.

Great location, near to restaurants, cafes and takeaways. Short walk to all shops and facilities. Ideal for visiting other parts of the Lake district. Cottage was extremely well equipped and comfortable. Beds were fab! Welcome pack with tea, coffee and sugar. Provided cleaning and washing up products. Would absolutely be delighted to return.
Could not think of anything to dislike!

I needed a cosy cottage very close to Kendal Parish Church so that I could play in and rehearse for a concert there, but also have a base for my girls to stay for the weekend. A great central location so we could smoothly check in on Friday afternoon and chill out before taking a short walk into town for tea. I loved the themed decor. The girls loved their attic suite and had great sleeps both nights. Sophie was prepared to be very accomodating when I stupidly lost the keys (and drive 50 miles to let me back in!) Fortunately I managed to retrace my steps and find the keys which had fallen out of my pocket so all was well. The cottage was very clean and welcoming with tea and coffee facilities (and chocolates and something bubbly in the fridge!) The girls used the TV to do some Joe Wicks warmups from Youtube before we headed down to Morecambe to do the park run on Saturday morning. By the time I returned, there was a spare set of keys in the keybox in case I was stupid enough to lose the keys again!
I loved hearing the bells ringing from the nearby parish church on Sunday morning which reminded me of my youth as a chorister in the choir there and was able to view the tower from my bedroom window on the first floor. The girls have asked if they can stay again and I hope we'll be able to arrange it!
I suppose the lack of a personal parking space could have been a difficulty if we had been staying at a different time, but as it worked out, we were able to park for free either directly outside the cottage most of the time when we needed to (1 hr - Mon-Sat 8am-10pm) or about 200 metres away on Buttery Well Lane (2hr - Mon - Sat 8am-6pm)

Old world cottage charm enhanced by a full modernisation and refurbishment. Very handy location in central Kendal. Plenty of Pay & Display parking options within a few minutes walk. Thoughtful welcome items were much appreciated.
Nothing, it was exactly what we wanted.
