Friendly owners, great breakfast, perfect location, and excellent value.

We had a great stay at Hotel Garni Alte Säge in Ruhpolding. The owners were friendly and helpful, and our room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was a real highlight with fresh breads and rolls, a great selection of deli meats and cheeses, fresh eggs, a muesli bar, fruits and vegetables. We especially appreciated the lactose-free options. The location couldn’t have been better. On foot or by car, we easily found great restaurants, a grocery store, and plenty of places to explore. It was the perfect base for one-day trips in any direction, and the price-to-quality ratio was excellent. All in all, it was a wonderful stay, and we’ll definitely be back.

Perfect hosts, nice location, very pleasant stay.

Breakfast and location were great! We especially liked our hosts and the roominess of our accomodations. We appreciated the availability of cold drinks and snacks from the snack room any time we wanted.

We (and our dog) felt very welcome when we arrived, we got some recommendations for where to walk, and where to go for dinner (including dog tips). The beds were super comfortable, and breakfast was great

Small gem in a wonderful neighbourhood

Our room was perfect in every way (spacious and tastefully decorated). Steffi was really kind and helpful. 💙 There is an electric charger option onsite. The breakfast was very high quality.

Beautiful hotel on beautiful location. :) Our room was very nice and cozy and had it's own balcony. EVERYTHING WAS SUPERCLEAN! Staff/Hosts were wonderful (friendly, practical, reliable, approachable...). As residents, we speak German, but hosts also speak English. Breakfast was very nice. Cozy dining area. Nice self-service bar for evening snacks and drinks. Internet was good. Parking was sufficient. Room amenities were good. We hope that we would be coming back. :)

A real gem

A delightful stay. very comfortable room. Lovely bed small but perfect bathroom with great shower. can’t fault this place. We stayed for 2 nights wish it had been longer. The owners were very attentive and friendly. Very good breakfast and lovely location. Easy parking.

Great hotel by the river - 5 star welcome!

Super friendly, helpful excellent English speaking host. Very dog friendly. Great location next to the river. Well stocked honesty bar. Tea and coffee available in the rooms. Lovely breakfast. Excellent clean room with walk in wardrobe area.. Great dinner recommendation - all booked for us.

We were only staying for a night. There wasn't any fresh milk. However, if we had realised earlier and asked I'm sure we would have been given some!

It was a great value for money - the hosts were super helpful (and never over the line), the room was spacious, clean and had a nice twist in the interior (loved the floors), the bathroom was not only beautiful but really functional, the organic and/or local food sooooo tasty, the view from the balcony was great, and we even had dog bowls placed in our room without even asking (we traveled with our furry friend). Oh, and the coffee was awesome! Seriously. We definitely felt welcome here :)

In no way, it is the owners' fault (I think they made the best out of a bad situation) but the new system with post-COVID lockdown breakfast where you have to say what you want from a big selection and then the host places it on your plate right away is a little..awkward. Maybe some simple pre-order paper system can be used instead (where you fill in what you want to eat from a certain selection) and then ask if you want smth extra.

Mooie ruime en zeer nette en schone kamers met heel vriendelijke mensen en een heerlijk ontbijt.

De ligging was voortreffelijk, net buiten het centrum met ruime parkeergelegenheid maar met een loopbrug over de rivier wandel je in een paar minuten naar het centrum.

Schöner Aufenthalt

Ein schönes gemütliches Hotel, wir waren sehr zufrieden. Das Frühstück war sehr sehr lecker und die Inhaberin war unglaublich freundlich. Haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Es sind Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vorm Haus und fußläufig kommt man auch überall hin. Toll fanden wir das man jederzeit Getränke und snacks nehmen konnte und diese dann bei Abreise zahlt, toller Service!

Es war eigentlich alles super, wir hatten nur ein Zimmer neben dem Eingang und es war ziemlich laut vor allem morgens. Aber das ist auch nur weil wir eben keine Frühaufsteher sind.

Ein erholsames Wochenende in Ruhpolding.

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und man kann alles gut erreichen auch ohne Auto. Wir haben uns in dem gemütlichen Zimmer sehr wohl gefühlt und das leckere Frühstück am Morgen genossen.

Nettes kleines Hotel, das sich sehr um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht.

Es ist ein gemütliches kleines Landhotel mit einem sehr guten Frühstück. Einzige Verbesserungsanmerkung: ein oder zwei etwas stimmungsvollere Lämpchen im Wohnzimmer der Suite wäre nett. Ansonsten ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht; im Aufenthaltsraum findet man auch jederzeit Snacks und Getränke. Die Betten sind gut und war absolut ruhig.

Ich bin den Chiemgau King geradelt und war hier eine Nacht. Meine ganzen "Sonderanfragen" wurden alle ganz unkompliziert erfüllt - 1000 Dank dafür! Ich konnte mein Gepäck morgens abgeben und Abends bei meiner relativ späten Ankunft war alles bereitgestellt. Mein Rad konnte ich sicher abstellen, mein Gepäck am 2. Tag wieder zwischenlagern. Auch das frühe Frühstück trotz Feiertag wurde ganz lieb ermöglicht. Alles in allem ein superschönes, kleines, liebevoll (und neu/modern) eingerichtetes Hotel und sehr hilfsbereite Inhaber. Tipp für Radler: Es gibt gegenüber des Hotels einen Gebirgsbach mit super kaltem Wasser, da werden die Beine wieder wie neu. :-)

Tolles Apartment und Frühstück mit noch tollerer Gastgeberin

Wir kamen ziemlich abgekämpft von unserer wandertour und wurden von der super netten und aufmerksamen Chefin begrüßt. Sie hatte für uns bereits zwei Plätze im nahegelegenen besten Gasthof der Stadt reserviert mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf die Berge. Zudem hat sie uns noch im Handumdrehen einen Gepäcktransport organisiert und uns für den nächsten Tag noch viele Tipps mit auf den Weg gegeben. Das Apartment war super schön und groß. Das Bad ebenso. Absolut tolles Frühstück. Wir haben uns selten so wohl und gut umsorgt gefühlt wie hier. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Alles wirklich klasse. Gut gelegen,sehr gepflegt und sauber, schönes Ambiente, modern aber trotzdem zum Haus passend. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit leckeren Brötchen, große Müsliauswahl, frisches Obst. Vieles regional und ohne Verpackungsmüll. Tolle Gastgeber . Wir hatten 9 schöne Tage hier und verkosten jetzt zuhause grad den leckeren Haselnusslikör. Danke dafür. 😃
