The place where you want to come and feel welcomed without worries about anything :)

Roman, the host, warmly welcomed us upon our arrival, gave us tips for nearby attraction, and recommended restaurants in the location and where to walk our dog. The room was clean and we got a quite night. There are really beautiful walks in the location along the river. Breakfast was great. Would come again for longer to explore the area with our dog :)

Host is really helpful, even he allowed us to change check in time on the same day. Rooms are perfectly clean. And breakfast is really nice. Even we cancelled the breakfast due to early checkout on the last day they packed breakfast for us.

Wonderful experience!

The view was just breathtaking. Host gave us a lot of useful information about Chiemgau card, our room was super clean and the breakfast was delicious. That's a shame that we could stay only for one night; that's a definitely place to come back.

From check in and dinner recommendation, through home cooked scrambled eggs for breakfast to check out - the atmosphere is lovely and the owner was very nice.

Our stay was fabulous.

The room was large and very comfortable and so were the beds. The owner went out of his way to accommodate us and even prepared breakfast for us earlier than scheduled as we were leaving early in the morning. I was jet lagged so I stayed to get extra sleep after my friend went skiing. After I woke up, I went for a walk as it was a beautiful day and when I came back, our room was cleaned. I certainly was not expecting that. I definitely recommend staying there. It's so peaceful and beautiful and only a short drive into town. Also, when I went for a walk, I came across this walking trail along a river- it was just what I needed. Photos from my walk are posted below. I'd definitely stay there again.

It was an absolutely perfect stay! A huge thanks to Roman and family for taking care of us. very calm place, clean rooms furnished with taste, home atmosphere, tasty breakfasts! We really loved there and looking forward to be back! Besides there are so many places to visit in Ruhpolding and around! warm greeting from Tania and Micha :)

A lovely small hotel on the peaceful outskirts of Ruhpolding

The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was modern. There was a wonderful view from the balcony. The breakfast was good and there was a very good restaurant a few minutes away. The host was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.

Excellent personnel in the (front office) reception, Very friendly and professional staff with full support to the newcomers/arrivals and during your stay as well. Bilingual in English and German. Secure parking in a private open space. The breakfast was very good. The cleanliness was daily and excellent. Quiet location in the centre of all activities.

If you want to get screwed, choose this accomodation

Clean rooms, nice beds, new bathroom.

Service extremely unfriendly, seem to bother about the guests (obviously Bulgarian owner). My husband (disabled) was refused a toilet in the basement. Worse: The convened rate for the two rooms (as guaranteed by booking-com) was randomly increased by 30% on the spot, making the whole stay a ripe-off. Never again -

No complaints at all.

Roman is a very nice host. Everything you ask him is arranged immediately, he clearly enjoys taking care of his guests. The gãsthaus is immaculate, rooms are thoroughly cleaned every day. Breakfast is nice and even at the end enough choices from the buffet.

We did stay at Gästehaus Geist about 7 years ago and this time was even better. The rooms were great with balcony and a very nice few. Breakfast was super and the host super nice and made us feel very comfortable. We definitely will come back.

The balcony, the bed, the view and the location! Don’t miss out to walk by the river path behind the accommodation. Really beautiful!!!

The breakfast could be better, but I don’t know if there were less options because of corona regulations.
