I loved my stay and would stay here again!

The place itself was good and perfect if it is accessible to public transport.

I really love the morning view.

The location was unexpected. The whole place was so dark. There is no street lights and we were shocked that there is no transportation going to the hotel itself since the road is on repair. We walked through the dark pathway and did a little hiking going to the hotel. It was our first time there thats why we were so frightened. To add, it was a hotel for young ones and they were so noisy even at the middle of the night. We didn’t have a restful night. But to be fair the breakfast is good and We really love the view.

The worst and most expensive stay on our 2000 mile trip.

The parking. The pancake machine.

As well as being poor value and a terrible location, the worst thing was the appalling noise - it's a noisy building anyway with loud banging doors and nothing to absorb normal noises. BUT the worst was that staff completely ignored the groups of children and teenagers running, shouting, screaming, banging doors and throwing things around the hallway at night. It sounded like a riot. We had to listen to this from 20:30 to 22:00, constantly, and then had to get out of bed and demand that staff deal with the situation...they could obviously hear it from the front desk as I was able to when I came to complain. A pathetic excuse of the 22:00 quiet time was ridiculous - 22:00 to be quiet is perfectly logical and acceptable but at no time should there be running, screaming, shouting, banging and other poor behaviour. Absolutely the worst nights sleep and worst premises we stayed in during our three weeks travelling around Europe. Absolutely ruined our stay in Berchtesgaden.

Best hostel experience in Europe

Paid for a twin room - had 4 bunks, a table and small balcony. Amazing. Brilliant shower, perfect breakfast ( boiled eggs to get you up the mountain) Lots of details - you could buy earplugs, souvenirs, wine…

Nothing. Might be a bit tricky if you don’t have a car as it’s far from the Konigsee.

Was okay, and for what you pay is okay

Parking and check-in were both easy. The place is also in a nice location, and is easy to get to surrounding regions like Konigsee and others.

I forgot my passport, they only tried to call me, but did not leave a voice message/email or text message or a note under my room. As a result, i forgot it and had to pay for shipping. Otherwise, the room when I entered had a weird smell.

Nice Spot but not Cool

Its all about the location and its a large Property, breakfast was pretty good. The views are incredible and its a great place for excursions.

To be absolutley clear when booking that an Extra Membership is needed to stay at this Hotel. It is not clear at 1st sight when booking and it was to late to cancel room for me. Staff was rude about this as well like I should have known. The Checkin takes a long time.

Great stay for an incredible value

I liked the value for money that was really exceptional for the location provided. The room and the facitlites were clean and well taken care of. We were content especially how quiet the surroundings are and how much space there was in the rooms.

If you want a lot of choice at the breakfast then you need to be there early otherwise they will run out of things.

Worth every cent due to the gorgeous location

Loved the views and rooms very romantic cozy.

There was no notification whatsoever about lockers in the room being operated by 2€ coin (wasnt possible to use my own padlock) + there was a lack of toilets for so many people from the whole hallway. I also found the fact that there was no door to the toilet and shower area uncomfortable.

A good non-expensive option for a short 1-2 day stopover. Beautiful nature. Quite a large parking lot.

The breakfast is not very good. The wi-fi worked poorly in the room.

All in all it was good.

Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly Everything was clean. Location is perfect and you have a wonderful view of the mountains.

The plugpoints in the room were very few and randomly placed which made it very difficult to recharge phones

Trash.

Literally the worst place I have ever been. Don’t recommend anyone to come. Only the dumbest probably choose here. When you arrive in the evening, the reception close at 10pm, not mentioned right? You literally can’t go in and need to stand outside at night. There is no plug beside you bed. You need to walk 25min up the hill to get there because there is no bus in the evening. Can you imagine what that feels like when you drag a large luggage? It is a waste of money and I would rather sleep in the train station than here.

The mountain view from room window & clean room

We paid dinner 10.5€ per person, 1.5€ higher than that mentioned in the hostel rules which is 9€ 😒. My son is under 26 years old, yet they charged for the surcharge too. A little bit far from bus station & no restaurant or minimart around the hostel. Kitchen is only to warm up the food (cannot cook) 😒

Beding wasnt ready- customer has to do it by himself Necessity to buy member card for 3.5Euro/each Breakfast could be better, especially warm meals, there were only dry scrambled eggs. Also there is only crappy coffe machine with poor quality coffe, even though at the reception they have got proper coffe machine (where coffe is paid of course..).

Th location was good but i just hate the fact that..the price didnt matched the one it was shown on booking.com ! I mean you have to be a member of international youth hostel to be in it than plz specify that on booking .com ! Travellers who dont know abt it and when they just book it..they are in for a surprise with additional cost of membership and also city taxes ! Atleast they should know abt it before they come to the hostel ! Rest all the location the staff and the nature around was all good and perfect 😇

Room size was medium and breakfast was good and front desk was helpful. Parking was good if you have car its 30 meters away from the hotel

The room were not sound proof so you can hear noise if someone walks or talks loud outside your room but apart from it nothing much bad to say.

The breakfast is really nice, the staff is friendly and the view from the hostel is great.

The bathrooms are not clean, the tables in the breakfast area are also not particularly clean. I stayed for 2 nights, but had to switch rooms for the second night, that was also not great. The bathroom in the first room was nice, the second was very dirty.

I booked last-minute due to the price, but I would not stay here again.

The View of the mountains was great. The building in the picture looked nicer than the building I stayed in.

There were 3 outlets in a room for 8 people, and only 2 near beds. It’s not the fault of the owners, but one of the other travelers in the room made it an awful experience due to an issue during the night.
