Comfortable hotel, perfectly located for walking the Wimbach valley or touring the area

Location: At the Wimbach Brucke: Lots of parking. 20 minutes walk to Ramsau itself. - Perfect for walks in the Wimbach valley Breakfast: order the night before: A reasonable selection, including eggs. Not a buffet, but served quickly. Room: with balcony (not much of a view), comfortable beds, adequate storage, small bathroom. Note; No a/c. Staff: very helpful, we ate dinner every evening in their dining room or terrace

Amazing.

The location is excellent if you want to hike in the nationalpark Berchtesgarden. There is a 1 hour trail just behind the accommodation and there are bus service that goes to Konigsee. This is a small family owned business and the Dennis and his wife were so friendly and even made us lunch when we had to leave early. The food at the restaurant is also amazing and I have had the best pork knee in my entire trip. There is also reserved carpark for guests. There is also a guest card provided and you get free bus service and discounted tickets at participating places.

Well, the bus service is only once per hour. So you will definitely need to plan out your time properly if you intend to take the public service. There is nothing really negative about the place though.

THE place to stay if you’re climbing the Watzmann.

Perfect location for the Watzmann hike. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The staff were extremely kind and helpful.

The place to stay near Königsee

We had a lovely stay at Tanya and Dennis guesthouse. We were warmly welcomed, taking care of and introduced to their guesthouse. The room was spacious, very confortable and with some nice touch. It is perfectly located nearby everything and it was very convenient and cosy to be able to eat at their restaurant as well after a long drive or after a long day hiking. I would not hesitate a second about staying there if we got the chance to visit the area again.

The breakfast is not buffet style. Instead, a list of what you want for breakfast and when to start is filled up at the arrival. We changed some other breads on 3rd day of visit, which I feel fine.

A fun stay with friends and a very warm welcome

Dennis & Tanya were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. There was no tea & coffee in rooms but they immediately supplied us with kettles & milk when asked. There wasn't a room fridge but we used the snow outside on our balcony instead :) We ate in the restaurant 2 nights and enjoyed the food very much. The bus stop was very close and our stay included free local bus travel and some discounts on activities nearby which was great.

Great place to stay after Watzmann

The food and breakfast were excellent, top notch, at the restaurant, can only recommend. The room was nice, clean, quiet. Everything was perfect.

It was just fine

The location is very easy to access and is right near the info centre, it's also a great starting point for lots of day trips. They also offer parking places saved for guests. The first day we didn't have any wifi signal, the next day they installed a router and the wifi worked great. Our room was clean and tidy.

Check in took a while, but we got free drinks The shower was quite badly clogged, and as we brought it up with the owner he didn't seem too surprised. The breakfast was not so good, very basic, the fruits were not ripe and the eggs we ordered were oily. We had to stop at a cafè shop to get something to eat, we changed our order the next day but unfortunately it wasn't any better - do if you have a day of long hiking planed ahead keep it mind.

Great hosts, perfect breakfast, and comfortable bed!

The hotel was very beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Super comfy beds. I believe the best thing about this hotel was the enthusiasm of the owners and we really appreciated how they really wanted us to have an amazing time. Would recommend to anyone travelling to königsee!

Im großen und Ganzen super gelegen, man kann sofort loswandern. Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet.

Das man für alle Tag vorher schon wählen musste was man zum frühstück möchte. Konnte zwar geändert werden, jedoch habe ich nicht jeden Früh gleich viel Hunger was dann entweder zu viel oder zu wenig war.

Erwartungen an eine Gasthof wurden weit übertroffen! Sehr schöne saubere Zimmer mit sehr guten Betten. Sehr freundlich mit individuellen Frühstück welches keine Wünsche offen lässt. Im Gasthof haben wir sehr gut gegessen.

Bäder zweckmäßig, aber veraltet. Kleine Dusche. Hinweis mit Reinigung nur auf Bedarf, aber mit gleichzeitiger Bemerkung, auch kein Personal dafür zu haben, sollte anders formuliert werden.

Freundliche Unterkunft, hervorragend gelegen

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr günstig etwas ausserhalb des Örtchens Ramsau b. Berchtesgaden direkt an einem tagsüber stark frequentierten Wanderparkplatz zwischen Hochkalter und Watzmann,, der ein Ausgangspunkt für viele beliebte Touren ist. Unter anderem ist natürlich die Wanderung durch die namensgebende wildromantische Wimbachklamm und weiter zum "Wimbachschloss" bzw. zur Wimbachgrieshütte ein Muss! Ein Bus fährt direkt am Parkplatz entweder in Richtung Berchtesgaden oder nach Ramsau bzw. zum Hintersee, einem absoluten touristischen Hotspot ab. Die Benutzung ist mit der Gästekarte, die wir am ersten Abend von unserem Wirt Dennis erhalten haben, kostenfrei. Der Gasthof verfügt über eigene Parkplätze direkt am Haus in ausreichender Zahl, die für die Hausgäste kostenlos zur Verfügung stehen. Unser Zimmer war geräumig und komfortabel mit einem kleinen Balkon. Nachts hörten wir die Ramsauer Ache rauschen, was wir sehr beruhigend fanden. Es gibt praktische Extras wie eine Schmutzmatte für dreckige Wanderstiefel auf dem Zimmer oder einen grossen Etagenkühlschrank für alle Hausgäste. Das Frühstück erfolgt nicht als Buffet, sondern man sucht sich a la Carte alles aus, was man möchte. Das geht sehr unkompliziert, wobei das freundliche Personal auch kurzfristig und flexibel auf Sonderwünsche eingeht. Zimmerservice und Wäsche- bzw. Handtuchwechsel erfolgen nicht nach einem festen Schema, sondern auf Zuruf, dann aber auch schnell und zuverlässig. Ganz prima: Der Gasthof verfügt über einen schönen Biergarten und ein Speiserestaurant, so dass man nach einem Tagesausflug gut versorgt war und abends nicht mehr los musste. Die Speisekarte ist super und abwechslungsreich: Regionale, frische Produkte, alles hausgemacht und sehr lecker. Wir haben uns bei Tanja und Dennis rundum wohlgefühlt!

Eigentlich hat uns alles gefallen. Grundsätzlich wünschenswert wäre allerdings eine bessere Ladeinfrastruktur für E-Autos. Im Ort gibt es eine 22 Kw-Säule. Für eine Schnellladesäule muss man schon nach Berchtesgaden oder an den Königssee fahren. An den stark frequentierten Wanderparkplätzen wie Wimbachbrücke, Hintersee oder Almbachklamm gibt es bedauerlicherweise gar keine Lademöglichkeiten.

Gut gelegener Gasthof mit guter Verkehrsanbindung und angeschlossenem Restaurant.

Die Zimmer und alles rundum ist wirklich hier und da in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstück war ok, aber sehr einfach. Und auch ein bisschen kompliziert mit vorab bestellen. Da gibt es sicherlich bessere Alternativen zum Frühstücksbuffet. Preis-Leistung passt noch gerade so.

Nagyon szerettük azt a 4 napot, tökéletes volt. & We really loved those four days, it was perfect.

A szállás gyönyörű helyen van éppen a szúrdok aljánál, rendkívül tiszta és hibátlan állapotú, kedves személyzet, reggeli az árban. A reggeli igényt, tehát hogy mit szeretnénk enni első nap le is kell adni a személyzetnek ehhez adnak egy listát és csak darabszámokat kell megadni. Jó a választék. Finom vacsorát is ettünk (csak egy nap vacsoráztunk ott). Csodálatos a kilátás, meglepően csendes az éjszaka. A külső zajokból semmi nemhallatszik be. Csak ajánlani tudom. & ENG The accommodation is in a beautiful location right at the bottom of the gorge, extremely clean and in perfect condition, with friendly staff and breakfast included in the price. You need to submit your breakfast preferences for the first day to the staff — they provide a list and you only have to specify the quantities. There is a good variety. We also had a delicious dinner (we only dined there one evening). The view is wonderful, and the nights are surprisingly quiet. No external noise can be heard inside. I can only recommend it. & GER Die Unterkunft befindet sich an einem wunderschönen Ort direkt am Fuße der Schlucht, ist äußerst sauber und in einwandfreiem Zustand, mit freundlichem Personal und Frühstück im Preis inbegriffen. Am ersten Tag muss man seine Frühstückswünsche an das Personal übermitteln – dafür gibt es eine Liste, auf der man nur die Stückzahlen angeben muss. Die Auswahl ist gut. Wir haben auch ein leckeres Abendessen gegessen (wir haben dort nur an einem Abend gegessen). Die Aussicht ist fantastisch, und die Nacht ist überraschend ruhig. Außengeräusche sind überhaupt nicht zu hören. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

einfache Übernachtungsunterkunft

bei Einchecken wollte ich an die Rezeption, wie es sich gehört, nur sagt Mitarbeiter:' bleib draußen ich komme zu dir , also draußen eingecheckt, und gesagt bekommen, dass das Zimmer während Aufenthaltes nicht gereinigt wird, wird auch nicht geschaut, ob was gebraucht wird, wenn ich was brauche, muss ich schon selbst sagen.... gleich habe ich auch ein Zettel bekommen, soll Frühstück für den nächsten morgen bestellen, ankreuzen was ich essen möchte ( ein Beispiel - habe ich Frischkäse einmal angekreuzt- am nächsten Tag lagen ca 2 Teelöffel Frischkäse auf dem Teller ), Gasthof hat auch Restaurant, wobei für Gäste wird nicht einmal Halbpension angeboten, einmal abends habe ich Restaurant besucht, habe gefragt, ob ich das Essen mit ins Zimmer bestellen könnte, da schon ziemlich spät ist, nein, bekomme ich gesagt, so was machen wir hier nicht. Punkt. in einem normalen durchschnittlichen Hotel wird das Essen ( wenn welches da ist ) , ins Zimmer gebracht, nur hier ist die Welt anders . Und am Abreisetag bis 09:00 muss man Zimmer verlassen.

Die Gasthausfamilie ist sehr Freundlich und nett. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und ich würde gerne heute noch davon kosten. Die Unterkunft am Eingang zur Wimbachklamm liegt genau richtig als Ausgangspunkt zum Aufstieg auf den Watzmann.
