Stay was Ok.

Location

No hot water on our second (last) morning. Manager said the room next door was able to turn the hot water off to our room.

Manuela Stark was very welcoming when we arrived. She explained everything and told us when breakfast (included) would be. My husband was in heaven when he saw the meats and cheeses - he has missed this type of breakfast after we moved back to the USA. I loved having our table set up for us already! Manuela also told us how to reach the old town area (walkable) and we had a great German dinner, sharing a table with a German family. Was a great experience. I would definitely recommend this Gästehaus if you’re ever in the Berchtesgaden area. You won’t regret it!

Price , location , the host service is excellent. It was raining on the day I arrived in Berchtesgaden at 9 AM, and she was able to provide me with an immediate check-in..

The room is close to the train tracks, and the trains are indeed loud, but since it was September and the temperature was 11 degrees, I closed the windows and hardly heard the train noise. I slept soundly until dawn. As for the room cleanliness, it's acceptable, but it’s best to bring your own towels as they are a bit worn. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work

Close to train station and bus.

I read a few poor reviews about this hotel but I was actually pleasantly surprised as the hostess was friendly and the breakfast buffet was generous with plenty of variety. The room was small and nothing fancy, but the beds were comfortable. The trains only started up at 6:30am so we got enough sleep - also with the windows closed this reduced the noise significantly. Very easy 5min walk along the river to the train station and bus stop.

Wifi was slow and intermittent.

Nice breakfast, very comfortable and cozy rooms. Kind of Family ran business. Host was very kind and can speak good English. I was late due to unexpected traffic and she was very kind to take us in by 7pm even booking.com was very kind that they started looking for another apartment for us incase we can’t checkin. All you need to do it knock the glass next to garage she will take you in. Awesome location in front of mountain range and river and very much affordable price is plus.

Not a complaint just saying so others don’t worry it nobody picks phone in reception🤣 She assist you when you are these with her best efforts. In front of train line but we never faced any noise situation.

The proximity and price were worth it- nice breakfast, too!

The breakfast was lovely with lots of options (didn't find regular, black tea). The staff was friendly. Had a family-run, down to earth feel. The room was very comfortable- beds and bath with balcony. We were able to check in early and store our bags in our room.

There are A LOT of stairs. If you have heavy bags, be sure you can carry them up several staircases. The nearby hotels all have a break from 11am-2pm (2pm is check-in). If you are trying to store your bags you may have to work around this time. For us it was a difficulty, but we were lucky that the owner returned early.

The breakfast was good.

The WiFi is terrible. It needs updating and could be cleaner. The building is too close to the trains and road so it is noisy. Also, we were told to pay in cash which was very inconvenient.

Super overestimated

Location is good: city center is close. Guesthouse staff is quite friendly.

Railroad sound is really loud. No one expects that, especially during the night. The rooms were not clean: lots of dust, mold at the bathroom, no ventilation (or it`s not operational) at the bathroom, strange columns in the interior, which interfere with the doors, as a result plastering leftovers cover the floor. Some lamps were simply damaged. The owner definitely should spent a couple of tens of EUR in order to replace a tungsten wire lamps to LED - we`re in 21st century. The beds are positioned in such a way, that if you`re over 170 cm tall, you definitely hit your head on sealing. No option to pay by card - cash only. As a cherry on the pie - the owner added a city tax.

Very nice place in the middle of the mountains 30 minutes from the iconic Salzburg.

The location was WOW. We could see the Bavarian Alps right from our room's window. The host was also very cool. It was a nice experience. The breakfast was also nice. Lidl was like 5 minutes away.

This is a good place for short stay and tourists who drive. The main problem is there’s no footpath that you can walk to

The room is very clean and tidy. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is fine.

The location is strange, there’s no proper footpath to access the property. Google map shows the property is just 5 minutes walk from the train station, however, the road to the property is blocked and there’s construction work nearby. We couldn’t find the way to the property and we tried to contact the staff for assistance but no one picked up the phone. We ended up carrying two big luggages and walked on the highway. it’s really dangerous as the traffic was quite busy, but this is the only way we could find to assess to the property. I wouldn’t recommended this property to tourists who don’t drive as it’s really difficult to assess to this property.

The room is clean, and the staff is friendly.

The left-side road on the way of Gästehaus is under construction, and so I felt concerned to walk to Gästehaus Alpina. People who are afraid of traffic noise may have concerns since the Alpina is beside the road.

Awesome breakfast for 5 euro, kind and accomodating host, comfortable room and 5 minutes walk from the station. Great value for money!

It’s by a train track so there are horns going every few hours, a minor inconvenience.
