The only good thing about the hotel was the breakfast.

It looks very quant, however, the cute looking hotel is just an old building made to look good in the photos. The bed rattled when you sat on it and turning around when sleeping was just awful.

The price is very high

The view from the window.

The room was very small with the extra bed added and smelled unpleasant. Everything squeaked of old: floor, beds and other furniture. The floor was not level. The mattresses had holes in the middle and the pillows were lumpy. The towels were stained. There was no hairdryer in the bathroom. And there was a lot of dirt between the two mattresses. I tried to contact the manager after the first night to change the room, but I couldn't get ahold of him until the day before the last night(we stayed there for three nights). He then told me he we could move for the last night into another hotel he owns in the area. That would have meant for us to lose our whole day, as I had to wait for him to be available until 13 o'clock, although I tried to contact him since 10, that day. I asked for a refund for the last night, he refused. I asked for other ways to solve this issue, none were possible. I highly recommend to visit the room before you pay. Unfortunately we came in too late to do that (around 23:30). Our room was not 280€/night worthy (with tax for dog, tax for late arrival and city tax). I have stayed in much cheaper hotels that provided a lot more comfort.

Absolute ripoff!

Bed was pretty good

Room way too small (20m2 according to spec, in real less than 15. Even no space to open suitcase. Very old design. Staff almost never available and hard to commute with (no German, no English). Way too expensive, absolutely no value for money. I paid 169€ per room; 40€ would have been the correct price.

Hotel is located near by street and its very loud.

We booked room with balcony, but for our room was not balcony, in reception told, that booking.com writtes uncorrect information and its not hotels fault. In my opinion its cheating, because in mountain area i choose hotel with balcony. After our stay, we booked different hotel in Konigsee and was very happy.

Fine, but no more than that

Room was clean; staff (when present) worked hard

No big deal really, but the whole hotel just seemed more than a bit tired for the rate charged. I suppose it's a tourist hotspot so they can get away with it. Nobody on reception in the evening to check-in, or in the morning for checkout. 'Traditional' in look and feel, so thin walls, creaky floor boards, ancient carpets, no AC, basic bathroom, lights not working, etc., etc. A trip back to the 1980s, perhaps even further back ...

Superb

The location was gorgeous 😍. The host was polite and helpful. The surroundings are worth roaming around. There are good restaurants nearby. The hotel itself has a restaurant and they serve good food. Breakfast is included in the package and is quite good. So overall it was a great experience for me to stay here.

The public transport is less frequent and the last bus to the place from the centre is around 6-7PM. If you miss that you may have to walk all the way which takes about 30 min or take a taxi. But the way is scenic and it's okay to walk if you are not tired. Also taxis do not charge a lot. So it's not a big problem.

Very homey place, cute little balconies

The rooms are incredibly short and small, there is no A/C or any kind of fans, the rooms get super quiet I had to turn on some white noise in order to be able to sleep. The TV remote was sticky and there was some sort of white stuff on the shower head

The most impolite and rude personel at the check in, cold in the rooms, at least breakfast was exceptional.

The only thing that was good about our stay was breakfast selection.

Where to start? Upon our arrival the receptionist who was there for our check in was really impolite and rude. We have booked a triple room and when we saw that the 3rd bed wasn’t actually a bed (neither the sofa bed) but a foldable “extra bed” I went to complain about it and then he became even more rude and told me if I don’t like it I can “go to the court” and complain to them. After we took our belongings to the room he started arguing with us about why we are bringing our snowboard bags into room and that he will charge us extra if we would be waxing our snowboards in the room. And we explained we are only bringing it to the room because we have other stuff in it not only snowboards (jackets,pants…). He insisted that he will charge us extra even though we explained we are not planning to wax in our rooms. However he did not offer any suitable room for us to keep our equipment and potentitally wax it there. It was cold in the rooms, the heater was working kn maximum but there was only one heater in the room (didn’t have any in the bathroom).

Response of the staff. I had to ring the bell at reception several times and still no one responded. My credit card was charged with the hotel bill without my consent and I had a non-EU credit card, I had to pay much extra. I specifically carried cash to pay my bill by cash but no staff bothered to help me with the cash payment. Instead, I was charged to my credit card without my consent. That's too awful.

I would like to visit again this place

The breakfast had a lot of options to choose. The view was as nice as expected.

We arrived late at night at the hotel and the person that attend us wasn´t nice or helpful when we asked for information. Without right information and don´t knowing the place we realized that the hotel was far away from restaurants (if you don´t have a car) and was very difficult to find something near.

The location and the view from the hotel is fantastic, a nice Italian restaurant is beside it. The breakfast in the hotel is substantial with various varieties.
