Excellent place to stop overnight.

Pleasant welcome. The pub was cosy and inviting and the room was a good size with everything we needed. Excellent walk in shower, which was good for accessibility. Heating easy to control. Breakfast was included and there was a very good buffet with cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and fruit juice and cooked breakfast with quality produce used. Staff friendly and efficient without being rushed. Good to see EV chargers on the carpark.

Great beds with lovely staff

We were told by booking.com that the family rooms had superking beds. They do not. The double rooms have superking. I booked a family room for £79 when I could have booked a double for £69. You need to change the details on your information.

the breakfast was excellent, the food was hot and well cooked. plenty on offer if you preferred not to have a cooked breakfast and plenty of drinks selection.. the staff on the breakfast shift were very helpful and pleasant.

Location suitable, parking good. Checking staff and waiting staff both lovely.

Barstaff uneducated. Bar closed before 11pm Food below average and microwaved. Room - no heating, no cold water beyond a trickle. Shower and tiles mouldy. Taps not clean. Promised additional blankets - never arrived. Promised a discount on room - never happened. Breakfast staff rude and unwilling to listen. Glad to leave.

Close to M6 so easy to break long journey for food or overnight. Attentive, pleasant staff. Efficiently run restaurant. Rooms well away from road and pub/restaurant so quiet.

The radiator switched off in the night and I got cold. After a bit of fiddling I got it to go again. Very bright lights in car park, great to see when walking but do come through black out blinds.

A pleasant evening, travelling for work its nice to find somewhere comfy, warm and welcoming,

passed on breakfast, my choice, not my meal of the day, but my evening meal was good, tasty and filling with a large glass of red wine!

Lovely Hotel, ticks all the boxes

Nice friendly, welcoming hotel, easy check in, friendly service, gave us a ground floor room on request, clean rooms, comfy bed, large TV, really nice filter coffee bags and decaff options and biscuits. The real ale in the bar was nice.

Very nice hotel and suited our needs

Nice clean hotel and friendly staff. Food - Breakfast was good with a good selection.

Although our room was clean the window frame needed attention, one of the window catches was missing and the frame needed some repairs and a good paint.

The staff and service were both outstanding and the food was delicious. The pub, rooms and decor are lovely, and a significant step up from your bog standard big chain hotel.

Stayed here with family it's a beautiful place so comforting staff so welcoming friendly and very polite food was fantastic piping hot which is a bonus for us breakfast spot on we all really enjoyed our stay. There was an unpleasant smell of drains in the bathroom. The seal around the shower was black and mouldy and needs renewing.

Lovely accommodation, but shower needs fixing.

The bar/restaurant and accommodation was lovely.

We had a terrible drian smell in our room (22). The manager said he knew what it was and rinsed the shower. The odour did leave but returned, so we had to repeat the process. This obviously needs addressing to prevent it from happening in the first place.

Lovely quiet room and really comfortable bed. Staff in pub and at breakfast were really friendly and welcoming.

Only minor thing was I couldn’t get hot water in my shower but my husband said his shower was hot straight after so perhaps I was impatient in waiting for it to run warm.
