The hotel is very conveniently located near Bern Central Station, with easy access to coffee shops, convenience stores, pharmacies, and shopping areas. It’s also just a few blocks away from the iconic Clock Tower and Bern’s Old Town. Upon check-in, the staff warmly welcomed us and assisted us efficiently, making the arrival process smooth and pleasant.

Wonderful accommodation in excellent location

Great place to stay in very good location with good vibes from the moment we arrived. Excellent reception with clear instructions and luggage storage. We enjoyed the common rooms where we could cook a light meal or go out to buy food and eat in the dining area. Bedroom is compact but extremely comfortable , good linen and comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

Perfect location for a few days in Sète. We would definitely book again.

It was presented meticulously with attention to detail and the online photos were a good representation. Although compact, the apartment was very well laid out and was spotlessly clean.

The entrance stairs are very old and not all that safe to use (uneven and cracked in places). I believe they are being upgraded soon. The apartment is on the first floor and there is no elevator.

The set up is fantastic - very nice en-suite hotel room, mixed with a hostel style public area was a great blend. The rooftop terrace was lovely. The location right in the centre of Bern was excellent. Complimentary coffee, milk, and filtered water was an added bonus.

The only downside was a noisy / creaky sofa bed that my daughters slept on!

Cozy air conditioned room in the heart of Bern

I’ve stayed here before, but I particularly appreciated the AC on this trip, which fell during a heat wave. Staykook is an efficient room with a large bed. The room is optimized around comfort and a space of rest, but it also had everything you need to do some work, get a good nights rest, or check out Bern. It’s centrally located but quiet and private, and the common area has space to cook or hang out should you need some flexibility. On this trip I also got to check out the roof top, which was great. Spectacular view of Bern, day and night.

All amenities are new and very good quality. There is an air conditioner in the room and the common area is awesome!

It was noisy outside due to a concert or a festival and the music was playing loud up until midnight, but it wasn’t too bad inside the room with the noise…

Good experience in the centre of Bern

I enjoyed the innovative concept of the hotel where self-management played a great role. The public area was excellent and the self check-in and check-out was smooth. The possibility to keep your luggage until 6 pm in a storage room was convenient too. The location of the hotel was excellent with many central amenities within a walking distance.

The only point that I did not enjoy was the size of the single room which was very small and you can hardly move around.

I would highly recommend staying at Kook if you are planning to stay in the beautiful city of Bern.

Excellent location. The room was very tastefully decorated even though small in size or cosy as described on the website, Everyplace was very clean. The communal areas were excellent and kept very well. The cooking facilities and food storage facilities were a real bonus with a supermarket across the street. Staff were very helpful.

The self service check in and online keys took a little getting used to but worked seamlessly once familiar with them.

You can have as much interaction as you like, the common room serves as a social hub that allows stayers to interact with each other and the hosts; or as little as you like, everything is app based!

I stayed one night, did not stay long enough to not like anything. It was near to Bern Bahnhof, and within the city center which makes it very convenient, 5-7 min walk from the station.

The room was very quiet, comfy beds, black-out curtains, and every day, we would have free coffee/tea whenever we wanted. The communal space was kept tidy and clean. Other guests were respectful of each other. The location was perfect in getting to all of the key tourist spots, and there were plenty of restaurants within a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

No bedside table lights or tv.

Absolutely place to stay!

One of the best hotels I have visited! Young man welcoming us was incredibly nice and helpful. Room was clean and very nicely decorated. View from roof top was amazing. Areas for games, couches, tables for working. Hotel is located close to railway station in the Old town. There is no breakfast in the hotel but there are plenty of stores nearby where you can buy everything you need and store those in hotel’s kitchen and eat in cozy kitchen area where you can find all equipment needed for making a breakfast.

The family room was a deception, one single space with the sink and shower in the same area of the beds. No particular amenities for kids and no crib. The common area is very nice and the building is amazing but for the price it is definitely not what is expected .

Beautiful cosy hotel in the heart of Bern

Very well situated and well designed. The rooftop is beautiful, the room practical, and the common areas make you feel at home. And for those wondering, as it is not mentioned in the equipment’s on booking, there is a hairdryer in each room.

The noise isolation could be improved a bit, but it was far from bad.

Upscale hostel

Very easy check-in--all digital. Host available in public space for questions. Location central to Bern Old Town and easy walk from train station. The room was very basic, but guests were encouraged to gather in the comfortable public space, where there were games, books, couches, tables, and large kitchen. It's like an upscale hostel.
