Absolutely loved this place. A quiet, peaceful renovated small farm, a million miles away from the crowds of tourists in Porto, our previous stop. The room was very good, nice big bathroom, a/c, and a stunning view. Shared kitchen space a nice touch and all other guests seemed to be of a mindset and kept it spotless.
A car is necessary to get to supermarkets etc, and to fully appreciate the surrounding area especially if you are travelling with older kids who need a bit more action (hiring canoes for a morning at Bitetos beach and a trip to Aquapark Amarante were highlights for my tweens).
We will be back!
The farm track is very narrow. I was glad for my tiny rental car! It didn't seem to bother anyone else however.

What a lovely place - there is literally everything you may need for a perfect holiday. The rooms are small, but those on the top floor have a spectacular view on the river. There is a lot of choice in terms of your outdoors activities, on sight you have swings, volleyball, bikes, relaxing areas, BBQ. The shared kitchen is very well equipped and is very clean. the massive bonus, is the bakery you can call, that delivers fresh bread and pasteis de nata (not included in your stay). Around the area there are plenty of things to see, and plenty of great restaurants.
