Welcome hosts, perfect location and property!

Phil and Valerie are the most welcoming hosts sharing helpful information before and greeting us on arrival. Would stay back here in a heartbeat! The location is perfect and a short walk from the river, restaurants and bars. The room was clean and has everything you could need for a stay. Very comfy bed too!

Hidden Gem

Valarie met me at the bus stop and very welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated, bed comfy, good tea and coffee facilities with a little tipple thrown in. Shower very good. The view from the outside patio was lovely and a short walking distance from the town.

I was quite happy with the stairs but they may be daunting for some.

I loved the friendly and effective communication pre visit, made me feel welcome before I even arrived. Very accommodating with my check in/out requests due to travelling out of season. Extra touches such as milk, water and a welcome cider made me smile. I arrived a stranger and left feeling like a friend. I would highly recommend.

The location was great,for the town and water front. The room was clean, comfortable, and warm.A great choice of teas, etc. Nice to have fresh milk, even a tipple in the fridge. Private space to sit outside,was lovely. The host Valerie made us very welcome.

A perfect little getaway to explore the South Hams

South Ford Haven is a perfect, quiet place to stay and be based in the centre of Dartmouth. It’s is small (as stated) but everything has been thought of and everything needed is provided. The bed is comfortable, the shower is powerful, the location is brilliant, and the price is very affordable. What’s more Valarie and Phil are wonderful hosts, very kind and welcoming and offer good recommendations too. This is the second time staying and it won’t be the last! Thank you again Valarie and Phil, I would recommend staying here.

It's quite small, but VERY nice. Good value, quiet and close to the centre.

Lovely room, very comfortable bed. Great having the extra storage space with hangers, iron etc. Altogether very well thought out use of the space. Great location and very handy for town.

Valerie & Phil are such a lovely friendly couple, and everything you could ever want for a short break was provided with lots of really thoughtful extras like milk & drinks in the fridge and a wide variety of teas & coffee.

A hidden gem in Dartmouth

Quaint and centrally located in the heart of Dartmouth. It provided easy access to restaurants and Britannia Royal Naval College. This is perfect for anyone looking for a welcoming, extremely comfortable and quiet stay in Dartmouth. We thoroughly recommend this venue. Perfect.

Beautifully decorated, comfortable room. The owners, Valarie and Phil had obviously thought of everything one might need way beyond the normal iron/ ironing board etc; eg, first aid kit, phone charger, new razor.

Cute, cosy space in central location

I stayed for 2 nights whilst taking a rest day on the South West Coast Path. South Ford Haven suited my needs perfectly. Really comfortable space, comfortable bed, powerful shower and nice little touches throughout. Phil and Valerie were lovely hosts.
