Room was cosy but comfortable. We had a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed. The location was ideal, just off the harbour in Dartmouth and up a side street. The little touches were nice. We had plenty of tea and coffee, with a coffee machine too. A nice touch were the two little cakes there for when we arrived. Thank you!
My knees don't like stairs and I had two flights to negotiate but this didn't detract at all from my stay. Will definitely stay again if in Dartmouth!

Central location, clean room
Bed/mattress was pretty old. Key lockboxes are a hassle when you have poor eyesight. Bedside lamp didn't work.

Perfect location, instructions and access to room was very easy.
We found the mattress too soft but other than that everything was great

Beautiful room in one of the cutest streets. It was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. I booked in late afternoon and the hosts were really quick to get back to me, which I really appreciated. Would definitely stay again, thank you!
I liked it all!

It's a great location, close to the shops and restaurants. The bed is comfy, and the team have put effort into some of the small touches.
It is what it looks like, three bedrooms above a cafe/resto. You have to let yourself into the cafe outside of their working hours, and then lock up once you are in - a responsibility I didn't feel comfortable with. Rooms need a lick of paint, new carpet and sound proofing to the extent that you don't hear every fart and conversation next door.

It was quirky and cute; the bed was quite comfortable and so was the shower. The coffee machine with complimentary biscoff was a nice touch

We booked this accommodation last minute without checking reviews and unfortunately it turned out to be one of the worst stays we've ever had.
Unfortunately, this was a very unpleasant experience. The accommodation itself was not nice and after checkout things became even worse. The host falsely accused us of damaging the property called and messaged aggressively, mocked us over the phone and even threatened to have us banned from Booking.com unless we paid for something we didn’t do.
The room was poorly maintained and unclean accommodation.Strong odours and excessive noise.False accusations of damage.
I have never experienced such unprofessional and intimidating behaviour from a host.
Shortly after we left the host began calling and messaging me aggressively, accusing us of spilling coffee on the carpet (we don’t even drink coffee) and claiming we stayed up all night disturbing them their room was under the room we stayed.None of this was true. When I tried to explain politely,we went to sleep early and we used the toilet and the host mocked us, and even laughed with his partner over the phone. They then threatened that if we didn’t pay for a “refurbished carpet,” they would have us banned from Booking.com.
This felt like intimidation and a scam attempt. I have never experienced such rude, harassing behaviour from a host before.
I would strongly recommend avoiding this place for your own peace of mind.

Location was fantastic. Response times to my messages were very prompt personal and accommodating which made the whole experience relaxing. Good quality coffee machine and honesty bar a nice touch.
If I’m being picky a fan would have been much appreciated. Maybe I missed it.

Good location.
Way below standard expected for rate being charged. Budget room, shocking external windows (dilapidated), weak shower, noise when taps run, windows didn’t lock. The gutters were overgrown with foliage and sounded like a waterfall outside during light rain. We had two sleepless nights as a seagull family lived outside the window and screamed throughout our stay, day and night. The bed was shockingly soft with zero back support.

Value for money. Great location in the heart of Dartmouth.

The bed was uncomfortable and too small and had no bedside table on my side. There was no TV. it would be ok for young people who had no interest in TV. Never been in a room without a TV......😐

Location was great
Not much else
Room and bathroom not great
Bedding all mismatched and poor mattress.
No ear plugs as so noisy from the seagulls nesting right outside the window, even when the windows were shut, and it was hot!! and the Big let down NO Telly!!!!
You just assume all rooms have a telly,
So after a long day all we heard was seagulls 🙁

Nice location in the heart of Dartmouth
Entrance is through a disused restaurant - very off-putting
Details say up two flights of stairs - there were four!
Details also said parking available in booking.com search - when I booked the details said parking nearby - neither statement is true. we paid £10 per day for the out of town park and ride, with a bus into Dartmouth every 20 minutes. (Please note - I booked in January, so this may have changed since time of booking).
We paid for what was described as a "luxury king sized ensuite room. although the bed was king sized, the mattress was old and worn out, with broken down edges. the mattress also smelled revolting - as if something had been spilled on it (or worse) and it had been sprayed with febreze.
All the window catches were broken, meaning the windows either had to be left wide open, (at risk of seagulls coming in!) or closed.
The bathroom door handle was broken, so it would not close.
The towels were very thin and old, although a nice big size!
But the worst... as stated, empty restaurant on ground floor. owner accommodation on first floor, two flights up, rental accommodation on second floor, a further two flights up. We checked out at 0915 on 6/7, and could hear the owners in their rooms - the door was open. As I reached the bottom of the stairs, I lost my footing - the stairs have a cutaway at the bottom where the lower door is. I fell forward and was unable to save myself as the actual stairwell is very narrow. I cried out, and my body made a noise as I hit the floor. My husband managed to get me up off the floor, but nobody came to see if I was ok, or even called down the stairs to me. My husband had to leave me on a bench, get the bus to the park and ride (see comment about parking!), then return for me. We drove back home (an hour away), spent the day in ED, and i am now in a cast for 6 weeks with two broken ankles and a broken fibula.

The hosts were very friendly, helpful and provided very clear and detailed yet concise instructions. The flat was easy to book and access. It was on a beautiful street not far from the river and amenities. It was a great price and on top of that was really nicely done up and comfortable to stay in. I felt so impressed I'd highly recommend.
Nothing. 10/10 exceptional!!

Size of Bed fine.
Small Dark room, window did not close, Seagulls outside window on roof making a noise, shower broken, towels white gone grey and hard. Considering I had booked a delux room I was expecting better.

Beds comfy enough, clean enough
In the centre of Dartmouth
Rooms very shabby with damaged furniture and stains on the walls
Curtains so thin all the light came through them
Bathroom had noisy taps and the shower power declined massively if toilet flushed
Expensive for what was provided
Poor directions for parking provided
6.0 / 10.0
The property is very well located in the centre of Dartmouth, and provides a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. There seems to be a convention of coffee and tea in the room, which is appreciated, but the coffee tin in mine had only half a scoop left in it, so wasn’t particularly useful.
Unfortunately the property is very tired, and has a ‘studenty’ feel. The walls are peeling and stained, and the bedsheets smelt musty, as if they hadn’t been dried properly. This is particularly unpleasant to sleep in, and does not inspire confidence in the cleanliness of the rest of the place. I understand that this property is on the more competitive side of pricing for the location, so can forgive cosmetic failings. But for bedsheets to smell unpleasant lies on the side of hygiene, for which there can be zero compromise. And take earplugs, the seagulls are noisy (not the property’s fault, this is the whole of Dartmouth, but be warned!).

Location. Comfy bed.
Very tired accommodation. Room needs a complete refurbishment. Booking Dot com has an icon for parking which isn't accurate.

Easy access, comfy bed, good communication and great location
Toilet cistern issue, easily fixed but definitely needs replacing - not wanting to complain though I’d really highlight it didn’t make a difference to my enjoyment of the stay!

We booked 2 rooms. Great value for money, nice quiet location. We had everything we needed.
A strong smell of weed when we came downstairs in the morning. It didn't seem to be coming from outside, so can only think it was somebody in the premises, although we never saw another person during our entire stay.

Located in Foss Street, right in the centre of Dartmouth. Perfect for access to the shops.
Excellent communication by email and text from hosts. Gaining access to room very straightforward, instructions easy to understand.
Clean and tidy.
Room quite small but more than adequate for a short stay

Lack of timely communication re access. Impossible to access anyway. Directions given personally did not provide access. This was only after the intervention of two lovely ladies who assisted me.
Booking.com have got to realise that travellers don't always have phone communication or internet access.

The location is great, right in the centre of the old town. The hosts provided great instructions and were at the end of the phone should we need them.
The bathroom had some maintenance issues (toilet seat, noisy pipes for water to basin). Seagull noise was very intrusive (although hosts offered earplugs).

Noisy gulls in early morning!

great location, very clean, lots of pillows, nice bedding, lovely old building. Good selection of hot drinks including real coffee (which I found eventually as it was in a neat little narrow drawer under the mug stand -didn't see it initially as I'd put my sunglasses case in front concealing the 'pullout hole')! Ultra quick strong wi-fi
mattress old in need of replacing, as were pillows - although there were allot of them they were hard and irregularly lumpy. Listing says about fridge and 'honour system to pay' in kitchen, plus tablet pre-loaded for t.v in room. House keeping chap said they no longer provide a tablet as guests keep breaking them . The use of a fridge is only in 'high season or when they're busy. Asked for later check out ( even texted and called but no- response for over 24 hours, so had to book as it was a last minute no choice ) which was pretty essential for the stay - even by 30 mins - was told initially the room was booked due to 'the events at the Naval college' like I'd stayed to attend. In fact there were only 22 people passing out that morning, and none the next, the room wasn't booked at all. The house keeping assistant said it was because they had a 'viewing' at 11am. The internet connection details were sent on the 3rd page of the long check in process. Like most people would, I read though and checked on the info provided (an A4 printout on back of the door) and initially used that, which was out of date. There's only 3 rooms - maybe 5 minutes spent printing out up to date info would be a courtesy worth doing? This info also stated in capitols CHECK OUT 10am - it felt like they would never consider any leeway, so that should be stated on the initial page.

Value for money, just what we needed for the one night. Location was amazing.
It would have been nice to have breakfast, but we went out of season, so that's our issue really.
2.0 / 10.0
The bedding smelt as if it had been used and was not fresh. Tea and coffee facilities were not complete, there was only sachets of coffee available.

Not clean
7.0 / 10.0
Location was perfect. Access was easy, whole process was easy , some people might like a more personal experience, but the remote instructions/communications worked well for me, instructions were clear and easy . It made the whole process very simple and efficient.
The toilet cistern was not working in one of the rooms, but it wasn’t a major issue and could be overcome by flushing from inside the cistern.
Had our stay been longer and the issue reported, I’m sure it would have been easily rectified.
