An excellent stay, we would return
The room was excellent, the food was delicious, except no salmon for breakfast! Stairs were a good work out to the third floor, a lift would be great! Central location was very convenient.

Omg, was the bedrooms stylist trained in the 1990s? What a shame.
The location.
The bedrooms which were once charming have had a really tasteless makeover. The new check in process felt like an episode of fawly towers. Dogs are not allowed to be left in the rooms by themselves and there is no dog bed. Dog owners have to take their dogs to breakfast in a separate dining room or put them in their car.

The historical setting. The wonky floors, renovated furnishings. Great food and friendly staff.
My husband is particularly tall ,which proved problematic in the top of house room. I don't recall seeing anything on the website about number of stairs and low headroom.
