Better to search for smth else if you need to sleep at nights

Location, friendly workers. Free coffee and welcome drink (didn't use)

Not clean, pretty dirty, common areas and bathrooms were smelly, and everything is old. Very noisy. Uncomfortable three-floor beds, which jump like crazy from each single movement of other two people. Horrible pillows, too thin and hard, it was impossible even to fold it in half. I didn't sleep two nights completely, suffered a lot. Difficult system with three different codes. No breakfast included, but the one they offer definitely doesn't cost that additional money. Food in the kitchen which is offered - onions and potatoes. I didn't have time to cook, so didn't use this option. No towels, you have to pay. I would recommend to find smth else to be honest. Not the worst experience, but if you need to sleep at nights , then it's definitely will not suit you

Location centrally located😍. Super accommodating staff, the kitchen, clean room, fresh beddings, added privacy curtain and the supermarket just beside it. Very nice place to stay in Lake Como. Cost to stay was very reasonable too. I won’t hesitate to here again if I ever come back. Thank you I had an amazing stay. Arrivederci!

Amazing location, great staff - would come again next time I visit Como!

One of the best hostels I have stayed at. The staff were all very friendly. Loved the hostel vibe too, great bar and cheap drinks. Loved the karaoke night too! Approx 10mins walk from main train station and next door is a 24/7 supermarket.

Compared to my other hostel experiences, this one was expensive. Still, overall I was satisfied and left feeling happy.

They give you free food to cook, which is amazing. Staff is very veru friendly and helpful. I appreciate that. If I am not wrong, there is a girl Joana, give me a warm welcome from the very first step into the hostel. Also they arrange game nights. There is a very friendly and social environment I loved it.

I didn’t like the idea of the triple bunk beds in the six-bed dorms. If even one of the three people moves, it feels like an earthquake.

amazing italian buffet breakfast, just a minute away from the lakefront, staff are very kind and very helpful in any way they can, and theres free food (mostly pasta) and activities every night. easily the best hostel in europe. its a good place to solo travel and meet others.

A place I didn't want to leave!

This was a very generous place, the personell was fabolous, the atmosphere was warm an welcoming. The style was bohemic, except that everything was functioning. The breakfast was good, but not with the wide selection you find in high class hotels.

Great place and friendly staff

Very friendly, cosy, overall pleasant place. I had an early train and the staff made it possibe to have an early breakfast. The location is perfect, near the train station and just 200 m from the lake. Breakfast was nice, many things o choose from. Common space was clean, and tables inside and outside enough for many people.

May be slightly cold in the rooms.

Very uncomfortable bunk

The beds are very uncomfortable. I "slept" on the top bunk (there are three beds in the bunk), and I was unable to sleep. When someone on the other beds moved, the whole bunk shook so imagine that! I couldn’t sleep for 2 nights. Horrible!

Very chill place, staff was great. Also very close to the station, supermarket, lake, town. Good for very short stays.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were very dirty. There was only one washing machine (so you had to queue after you’ve paid 8€). The breakfast was very incomplete many of the things didn’t have any flavour.

Felt like a scam

Never stayed in hostel before so i didn't know how these work. Booked one night stay at this one, as I just needed somewhere to sleep for the night. Decided to go to Lake Como very late on the previous night and as all the prices were really high, decided to give it a go with hostels - it was one of the cheapest options (still €90 for bed in dormitory??, guess Como is way too expensive). When arrived at the hostel on the next day i was told that I have booked a bed in Female dormitory. First - why this is even available to be booked if not suitable for males and second - i was denied stay at hostel, and denied refund as well by kind of rude girl at the reception, repeting the same thing like an answering machine - " why you booked bed in female dormitory?? you made a mistake, your problem - can't do anything for you"!! So left with nowhere to stay for the night I had to book a hotel room which costed me a lot, plus no refund from the hostel... This was the most expensive one night stay for me ever. I mean Lake Como is great but NOT THAT GREAT!!!!!!

Service invisible, bed imaginary, booking deleted – if Kafka ran hostels, it would look like this.

The concept of paying €69 for an imaginary bed I was never allowed to lie in – inspired. Also delightful: being informed at 9 PM that dogs aren't allowed here... hours after checking in with a dog. Top-notch service: none whatsoever.

That I was first checked in, then ignored – and finally removed from the building because someone suddenly remembered at 9 PM that dogs aren't “intended” for upper bunks. That no alternative was offered – unless you count the night pavement outside. That my booking was quietly erased, as if I were a system glitch. Spoiler: I wasn’t. I was there. I was thrown out. And I paid 100%.

Great stay, expensive but price includes lots of perks

Amazing hostel. I cooked all of my meals for free at the hostel. They provide free pasta, sauce, a bunch of fresh veggies, bread, pastries, etc. Definitely one of the pricier hostels I have stayed in, but having food covered was a huge perk. The town nightlife is coming to the hostel, so it is very lively every night till around 1. Dorms were very clean. They had a secret garden with hammocks which is a very nice place to relax away from all the people who are in the main area.

Had to make my own bed, which was a little challenging on the top bunk but okay

We took a room overlooking the secret garden into is over noisy the cafe under our window stays very very late with the voice of the crowd really very noisy . I’d recommend not to take a room overlooking the garden .

Pretty little hostel at the lake front

Pretty little hostel at a great location in como. Just a 2-3 min walk to the lake front and a 5-7 min walk to main ferry terminal. Welcome drink upon arrival. Backyard is bustling with energy and vibe.

It’s an old building so no elevator. Once has to drag the luggage up and down via stairs. Although it’s mentioned on the hostel page that they keep luggage free of cost (pre checkin or post checkout) but the girl at reception charged me 5 euros for that.

Lovely place in Como

Perfect location, very nice staff, perfect environment. I loved this place. Especially that great atmosphere where you can meet new people from many different countries. Kitchen where you can make your favorite dishes. Everything was amazing.

Great location and friendly staff

I stayed here for just one night in the 6-bed female dorm. The location is amazing – right by the lake, only about a 10-minute walk from the ferry and 8 minutes to the train station. Super convenient! The staff were really friendly and helpful, giving tips and helping with anything I needed.

It can be a bit noisy at night depending on other guests, and the metal lockers in the room can be loud when people use them. But overall, it was a good stay and great for a short visit to Como!

Doesn't deserve 50 euros It doesn't even deserve to be free The girl at the reception desk was very mean, she behaved very badly towards me In the dorm, I couldn't sleep because a man with us disturbed people (their voices while they slept) and got out of bed every time I didn't sleep until 7 a.m. and I woke up at 11:30 a.m. I took my shower and came down at 12:30 p.m. The girl asked me to pay 6 euros because I was late Truly catastrophic

The location was amazing, 2 minutes walk from the lake and a 10 minute walk from the main city centre Social side of the hostel was so good, plenty of things to do in the evening

Front desk service was A++++ they were very welcoming & it felt like talking to old friends. Rooms were nice and clean. Facilities are good too. It’s also a 5 min walk to the nearest Piazza where there’s a bunch of al fresco places to eat (and sometimes live music from buskers). Central Como & San Giovani train station were all just a few minutes’ walk. But know that this is a dorm where you share a room with people! There might be snorers but you can ask for ear plugs at the reception even at wee hours of the night. My bed was nice and comfy. There was a USB and socket where i could charge. There was also a small locker where i could store my valuables (bring your own padlock, buy from the reception, or from a nearby store) 10/10 would definitely book here again.

Nice, friendly and cosy

Very nice hostel, good location close to the trainstation, the city center and Lake Como. The atmosphere was friendly, the room and bed comfortable and a cosy environment. The kitchen was fresh and the hostel offers a lot of foodstuff for free. A mix of people from all over the world and of different ages contributes to the good atmosphere.

Very dirty, dead bugs and awful stains in the beds, plenty of dust and spider nets

The location

We staid one night in a 3 bedroom rent which presented significant hygiene issues, for instance: - Organic orange and red traces on all mattresses (vomit?) - Hair in bedsheets and in the bathroom (floor, toilets, sink) - Dead insects and black spots in bedsheets and mattresses - Numerous stains on towels provided (were they washed before our arrival?) - Dead insects and spider nets in several spots of the room, especially above the main windows, in the shower, above the single upper bed near the window. We have told it to one employee the evening we came who went in the room, cleaned it but left all the remains (dead insects, dusts) on the floor under the highlighted spots, especially the shower floor, which is not hygienic and we had to clean it again) - numerous organic traces (white and yellow ones: vomit?) and dust on the armchair of the room In addition of the hygiene issues mentioned above, we want to highlight two other elements: - one window was not closing well which induces security issues (the one on the left when facing the windows, in the picture attached), - important noise after 11 pm. Even though we are aware this is a hostel with the atmosphere associated, calm in the night should be foreseen as residents did not have the same day, the same level of tiredness and the same program for the following day (we had to wake up at 6 am the day after).

The hospitality of this hostel was absolutely incredible. I‘ve had a bit of a bad luck on my vacation and they just made sure I had best time there possible. Have bunch of stuff to do in hostel and get together and meet people from all around. Breakfast was also quite nice. Loved the secret garden ;) My room had enough space to move around and beds were comfy

one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at! such fun and kind staff!! give you some breakfast tickets and often give you breakfast for free without 5 euros or tickets. Free drink ticket too upon checking in. Bar is packed every night. so easy to socialize and make friends, everyone is down for a good time. 8 minutes from train station walking in como. como is absolutely beautiful! bus stop nearby to take day trips, ferry port nearby. events to being everyone together like live music, karaoke etc. staff is so nice. 10/10 will come again. restrooms in dorms. kitchen is clean and nice with plenty of free fruits/veggies
