Lovely overnight stay. We felt rested & relaxed, ready for our onward journey to Sils Maria CH

The continental breakfast al fresco started us up perfectly for our ongoing journey. San mamete is a lovely small village we know well with a close knit local community. It was the ideal spot for our overnight stay. We timed our trip perfectly as there was an orchestral concert in the piazza, beautiful music with a great atmosphere.Lovely family run B & B, we were made to feel welcome & are already planning a return visit. Grazie mille per tutto xx

Great location for short break on Lake Lugano

This property has everything you need in this gorgeous little town on Lake Lugano with a public swimming pool and pontoon directly opposite. On the ferry route from Lugano two days per week. The host and hostess are charming and breakfast is taken on the terrace with the birds and flowers. The room is comfortable with air conditioning. There is a good bus service from Spezia or Lugano and you can walk to Villa Fogazzaro in about 25 mins. Very scenic along the lakefront

There is only a bakery and not much choice for restaurants apart from a few.

A lovely family run hotel in the more exciting Italian part of Lugano.

Me and my daughter had a lovely stay. The staff really cared about us and making sure we had everything we needed. The village is very small but it was full of very kind people. You can get to it by bus from Lugano station and it takes about 15 minutes. Try to avoid the high priced taxies. They served a nice breakfast and had dinner at night. Ask, because they had a few home made items that were really yummy. This is a family run place so very special. Relax into it. Swim in lake and enjoy the sweet simple life :)

Very convenient and cosy location with closed by kids' swimming pool As described on the web. Staff was very friendly and helpful and looked after us well. They serve food all day. Breakfast was good and we have ordered dinner also. The food was deliciously prepared and fairly priced, also excellent service. We will definitely repeat again.

Perfect family hotel for a stay in a perfect location at lake Lugano

We loved it at caffe del viaggiatore. The location is excellent with the lake access right across the street. It is a lovely community beach with enough shade and even a small pool for kids, all free of charge. The mountains around the village and the Lugano lake are absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant in the hotel serves nice breakfast and dinner in a beautiful atmosphere. The rooms were cool enough during hot summer days and had a/c. Everything in the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Last but not least the staff was just great. Very pleasant and communicative owners that do everything at their disposal to make you feel welcome. It was supposed to be just a stopover on our trip to south France, but was really a highlight of our trip. We will definitely come back and recommend it to others.

All around great place to stay- great value !

Great set up they have going on with restaurant bed and breakfast :-) good location close to Lugano at very affordable price! Possibility to jump and swim im the with simply crossing the street! Lovely restaurant with few but good choices! We only stayed a night on our way home but I can see myself staying for more nights. The family room is very spacious! Breakfast was nice :-)

It would have been a very good stay if we were not charged extra for our dog.

The room, the view and the parking space. The room was a mini apartment with everything you need. it was also very clean.

The hotel states on booking .Com that pets are welcome at no extra cost, however when we checked out we were charged 7 euro for our dog stay. This spoilt the stay for us, we are happy to pay when it is clearly stated. The breakfast was very poor just one croissant and one pain au chocolat and two rolls with jam and butter, the lady made two cappuccinos.

Lovely place in beautiful sorroundings.

Lovely place. Beautifully located near the lake (some rooms offer the lake-view) and the main road, but it's very quiet at the same time. There is a parking space in front of the building. Rooms were spacious and clean, all of them with a bathroom (hairdryer available). There is a bar and restaurant downstairs, with seating in- and outside. Breakfast was simple, but tasty. The staff was very nice and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again if I were in the area :)

The shower was a little outdated (the door was broken and the grout needed refreshing), but it wasn't a big issue.

- Great location with respect to San Mamete - A few meters away from Lago di Lugano - A spacious room, in the back. So away from the late evening diner/dance terrace. - Friendly staff

- The shower doors were largely at the end of their life expectancy - The bathroom was apparently used once after being cleaned - It was possible to hear from next door room, when they arrive late at night, had a tender moment, took a shower or used the WC.
